Excellent data and great photography. I am still using my 3rd edition. A good handbook to have at home or in the workshop.

Not Science:

Love Is in the Earth: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals by Melody

This is the bible for crystal healers, but be warned, there are no photographs in this book. Use Schumann's book for photographs.
