Wouldn't it be great to make your art and do nothing else? But it turns out we have to sell the art, talk about the art, market the art, build websites, clean the studio, and sort out the learnings we acquired while making the art.

I completed the master model design for the Spencerville Fair Sterling Silver Trophy Buckle and now I'm using the open space between projects to clean the studio, and plan the visual marketing campaigns for this year's jewelry products.

I talk about how Google is now pivoting their business model and how that will destroy many web sites that have been lovingly build for decades.

I think the Canadian Prime Minister's wife needs fashion advice and here it is. She is being treated in a demeaning way visually by our prime minister at public events, and that has to stop. Her fashion choices are making matters much worse. I suggest some fashion fixes for our Prime Minister's wife so she can display her own personality on Canada's public stage to step out of her husband's shorter public shadow.

Lastly, I talk about using the proper video editing software from the start, instead of having to switch to new software products after you have learned how to use a less robust product. This one tip will save you weeks of grief.

This podcast has always been about trying to understand what art means. Yesterday, I listened to a New Yorker podcast where David Remnick interviewed Brian Eno on his new book on art called What Art Does: An Unfinished Theory. I ordered the book immediately, but it did not arrive in time for the podcast, so today's show is about what I want the book to be about. I've never really thought about what art does until yesterday, but Eno seems wise to me about art things because he has lived them his whole life. I can't wait until the book arrives tomorrow.

We have a pretty large county fair here in the fall called the Spencerville Fair. They have an art building filled with photography, paintings, quilts and other art from the community. I hope to shine a light on their arts building and perhaps even design a Sterling Silver belt buckle for the fair's 170th Anniversary. I will go to the fair's organization meeting next week to see if I can participate in some way.

We all know social media is an addictive trap. When social media combines with politics it becomes brain mulching. You don't need it for daily life and neither do I.
