Grace and Scott spend this episode focused on the hit television series, "Friends". They go through the polls they released on the Gen Divide Instagram and Facebook with questions for their followers such as; if you had to pick one, Rachel Green, Chandler Bing, Joey Tribbiani, Monica Geller, Ross Geller, or Phoebe Buffay. See the divide in our followers as we explore the "we were on a break" argument. They also recount your favorite Friends moments such as the Thanksgiving football game or the prom episode and reminisce our old episodes such as the fashion worn by Jennifer Anniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer and how social media could play a role in their pitch for a remake of Friends. They even each did a recasting for each main character where Scott used only actors and actresses from the Netflix original series "Stranger Things" with Millie Bobby Brown as Monica and Grace casted today's biggest 20-something stars such as Zendaya; who's name Scott still refuses to pronounce correctly.
They also talk about their recent run in with the coronavirus and how it affected their personal and work lives and reveal a guest for next week's episode.

In the first ever cagematch episode, Scott and Grace debate over which is better; Blockbuster or Netflix? Scott argues for Blockbuster with his nostalgia of a simpler time and movies like Armageddon and Contact with Jodie Foster. Grace argues for Netflix with the convenience and cost effectiveness / lack of late fees and the ability to watch Netflix Originals such as Stranger Things, Fuller House, and Black Mirror.
Stay tuned for our next four episodes including a crossover with our studio mates Head Canon and Loose Cannons discussing "Friends", a brand new special guest, album review of Cyndi Lauper's "She's So Unusual" and Alessia Cara's "The Pains of Growing", and another film review with our movie genius Derek Worlow of "Rad".

Grace and Scott are joined by their movie genius guest Derek Worlow for Gen Divide's first ever movie review. The movie; Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing", released in 1989 but sadly very much still relevant today. The topics range from Rosie Perez's intense dance sequence and Mookie's biker shorts to the racial inequalities and message portrayed throughout the film, along with peeks into Scott and Derek's times working at Blockbuster together sprinkled in throughout.
Thank you to our movie genius Derek for the gifts and chats! The Cameos from Texas Ranger's reporter Emily Jones, Trevor the Tik Tok person, and Ryebread the creator of what might be our new intro music; were the best gifts the Gen Divide duo have ever received.

In this episode Scott and Grace discuss fashion trends from both of their child and teen years; including the impractical yet stylish Kriss Kross inspired "wear your clothes backward" trend or the clean tuck bodysuit trend. We also discuss how these fashions come to be. Was it the effects of movies and television such as "Back to the Future" and "Friends"? Has that duty now shifted over to social media influencers like Charlie D'Amelio and Sommer Ray? Have big brands like Nike and Gucci always been what the "cool kids" wore? Find out in this episode of Gen Divide.
Next week we will be doing our first ever movie review episode; of the 1989 film "Do the Right Thing" featuring our local movie genius as our second ever special guest. Also next week is our album reviews of 5 Seconds of Summer's "Youngblood" and Michael Jackson's "Thriller". Be sure to subscribe to us wherever you listen so you don't miss these episodes.

Grace & Scott hash out the differences in their high school experiences, trends and day-to-day lives. They discuss cafeteria food, technology, and extracurriculars such as sports and music with their special guest Alan Green; current teacher/coach and former student of Bridgeport High School. The battles of passing notes v Instagram, pagers v cellphones, and fried v healthy lunch food and how those affect the schooling experience will determine the answer to the ultimate question: who had it better?

In the third installment of the Gen Divide Podcast, Scott & Grace do their first album reviews, breaking down Duran Duran's Rio (Scott's pick) and Niall Horan's Heartbreak Weather (Grace's pick).
