In this episode, Kick the Mathematics, we dive deeper into the subject of Economics with economic and entrepreneur guru Steward Hubbard.  When it comes to economics, many of us have a surface-level understanding that we gained from having to take micro and macroeconomics classes during the enrollment of undergraduate studies.  The concept that we identify with most is supply and demand mainly because we can correlate with the rising cost of products that we buy as consumers.  However, we have discovered that economics has and continues to have a more significant influence on the decisions we make concerning our lives.  Steward uses the economic impact of the war in Ukraine to enlighten us on the downstream effects of an economic crisis in the 70s and how it affected the way Generation X’s concept of wealth was shaped, and where it needs to move towards as we approach retirement.

Gem Drops:

·      08:40  -    “Generation X and Economics”

·      13:00 -   “Biggest Crisis of our generation”

·      18:00 -   “How coming off the gold standard affected us”

·      21:00 -   “Removing the US Dollar as the Global Universal Currency”

·      25:00 -   “The Economics of a Life Insurance Policy”
