Manly has a death wish, but after seeing his wife pouting, he decides to turn his frown upside down. Eliza Jane haunts everyone, Pa and Caroline are exhausting themselves trying to fix this mess, and the bank never sees a dime of its money. Amye tries to scare Jennie with stories of dead presidents, and Jennie is eating a bagel.

Not surprisingly, he falls ill and Doc allows a room full of people to be exposed to Almonzo’s highly contagious disease. When Manly morphs into a giant man baby and refuses to do the exercises Doc has provided, Elize Jane comes to town to spoon feed him and possibly hit on him, not sure. Laura is left, once again, to take care of everything while 18 months pregnant.

We relive our teenage years spent in a local, haunted sanatorium, and Jennie talks about consumption.

In Season 8, episode 9: For the Love of Nancy, Elmer Miles, a sweet boy who happens to be overweight, comes to Walnut Grove where his life is made miserable. The school kids of WG cannot stop themselves from mistreating this kid. Even Albert, with his new friend, Ray Liotta, is involved in this. Nancy uses Elmer's crush on her to her advantage and ends up alienating him even further from the other kids. In the end, Albert decrees that "hey, we all have bad traits- we just need to accept one another." WRONG, Albert. Amye lives in the rage corner and Jennie posits a theory that Landon was recreating the golden 50's in Walnut Grove.

In the summer of 1999, while Jennie and Amye were off being poor and lame, 250,000 kids attended what promoters hoped would be an historic once-in-a-generation concert: Woodstock 99. This three-part docuseries exposes poor planning, willful ignorance, and an amazing amount of hubris on the part of (mostly) two men: Michael Lang and John Scher, aka Darth Vader. This was the perfect display of a generational clash between Gen X and Boomers. In the end, a hologram of Jimi Hendrix played as Rome burned.

In the worst episode of Law & Order, we meet some stereotypical Chicago gangsters who help Edwards and Charles solve this mystery. One of our main characters dies, yet Charles is still the star of the show, and we are robbed of seeing Carl’s Jr.
