We often focus on LGBTQ+ issues when we talk about Satan’s attack on the family. I’m very passionate about other things that affect families. So, what else does Satan use to attack families and other important relationships in our lives?

President Nelson’s talk “The Power of Spiritual Momentum” gives amazing suggestions for ending conflicts in our lives. Here are some questions to consider:

President Nelson calls for us to end conflicts in our hearts, homes, and lives. What conflicts do you think of?

What ignites spiritual momentum in your life?

What does your covenant path look like?

How does God work in your life?

How do you see the Lord intervening in your life and the lives of those around you?

Think about the conflicts you thought about before. How can you "seek an end" - take the first step - to ending them?

Consider President Nelson’s suggestions:

And his prophetic promises: “As you act on these pursuits, I promise you the ability to move forward on the covenant path with increased momentum, despite whatever obstacles you face. And I promise you greater strength to resist temptation, more peace of mind, freedom from fear, and greater unity in your families.”

Self-reliance is a hard topic for me, but while reading Elder Martinez’s talk “Teaching Self-Reliance to Children and Youth,” I got a different perspective on what self-reliance is on a principle level and why we push it. Here are some questions to consider while you study:

How are you spiritually self reliant? How are you temporally self-reliant?

“[Luke 2:52] refers to growth and learning in the spiritual aspect, favor with God; the social aspect, favor with man; the physical aspect, stature; and the intellectual aspect, wisdom.”

Have you ever thought about making and working on goals in these 4 areas (even if you are not a child, a youth, don’t have children or youth, and don’t work with children or youth)?

If the phrase self-reliance is hard for you (it is for me), how can you think of self-reliance differently? My suggestions in today’s episode were “self-improvement” or “becoming a well-rounded person.” But how can you use the principles of self-reliance and the why behind it to change your perspective on self-reliance?

Elder Rasband’s powerful testimony of religious freedom fills his talk “To Heal the World.” Here are some questions to consider as you study:

Are we treating others as if God loves them as much as He loves us?
