  • Too Many Actors, Not Enough Plot

General Hospital Snarkcast - Recorded Monday, May 4, 2026 Welcome back, Snarkies, to another episode where Mama Snark and Snark Jr. try to keep track of approximately seventeen thousand characters all having simultaneous storylines in a town that, geographically speaking, should fit maybe twelve people.Listen. We love an ensemble. We love a deep bench. But this week's GH felt like the writers opened the contact list, hit "select all," and said, "everybody's getting a scene." It's giving "family reunion where you don't remember half the cousins." It's giving "wedding where the seating chart is a war crime." It's giving "soap opera writers' room with a bulletin board full of red string."Mama Snark and Snark Jr. have notes. Specifically: the accident story needs to WRAP. We've been in this holding pattern long enough that, frankly, we could have built a hospital wing, recovered from the trauma, and gone on a healing retreat to Sedona by now. Resolution, please. Some of us have other plots to follow. Then there's Ethan. Some of us love Ethan. But Mama Snark and Snark Jr. spent a hot minute this episode trying to figure out where exactly he fits into the current canvas, because right now he's giving "guest at a party who knows two people and is hovering near the snack table." Is he in a story? Is he just here for vibes? Give us a clear lane for this man so we can properly invest. The audience is ready. We just need a roadmap. If you spent this week going "wait, why are they here, and where are all the stories going," congratulations, you're on the same wavelength as Mama Snark and Snark Jr. Pour yourself something, hit play, and let us validate your confusion AND introduce you to your new favorite interview.Which Port Charles storyline do YOU need wrapped up immediately? Accident? Drew? Something we haven't even gotten to yet? • A Whole New World

General Hospital Snarkcast - Recorded Monday, April 27, 2026 Buckle up, friends, because this week's Snarkcast is a buffet of grievances, theories, and at least one truly bizarre detour to Broadway. Mama Snark and Snark Jr. are unpacking the very strange field trip to see Aladdin (we have notes), the way every single storyline in Port Charles is now mysteriously tangled up in Pikeman (because of course it is), and how characters from every corner of town keep getting sucked into that black hole, whether it makes sense or not. Spoiler: mostly not.We hand out our Characters of the Week and shower some well-earned love on the actors who are absolutely turning it out right now, even when the writing is busy turning them into strangers. Speaking of, we spend a healthy chunk of time moaning about beloved characters being written wildly out of character, agonizing over the slow-motion mystery of poor Blinky Drew and whatever endgame the writers think they're cooking, and trying to solve the great Curtis-Jordan-Portia-Isaiah quadrangle by simply blowing the whole thing up and starting over. You're welcome, Port Charles.Plus, Wicked Stepmother chimes in with her two cents, we deliver our Word of the Week, and we wrestle with the question that haunts us all: are we actually supposed to like Lulu? Pour something strong, settle in, and come be unhinged with us.Please watch Paolo Presta’s interview: https://youtu.be/-2jKgo3iVQU?si=2-fDhzFyyXBj8LPA WHERE YOU CAN FIND US: Follow General Hospital Snark on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ghsnark Find us on Substack where we do long form articles: https://ghsnark.substack.com/ GHSnark Patron Information: https://www.patreon.com/generalhospitalsnark Follow General Hospital Snark on Twitter (if you're still there...): @GHSnarky (we mainly do reposts. • Ethan's Back, Carly's in Love, and Willow's the Worst

General Hospital Snarkcast - Recorded Monday, April 20, 2026

Port Charles went full wackadoodle this week, and the Snark Team is here to unpack every bewildering minute of it. Willow graduated from Insufferable to Insufferable With Extortion, weeping her way through a confession to Nina while somehow also blackmailing her, because apparently, you can cry and threaten at the same time if you really commit to the bit. Ethan Lovett strolled back into town after a small eternity away and, in a move nobody had on their bingo card, made Kristina his very first stop. We have questions. We have theories. We have snark.

And then, dear listeners, Carly made a choice. Specifically, she chose to confess her undying love for Valentin while casually cooking with Lucas, as if announcing a grocery list instead of detonating a relationship bomb in the middle of a perfectly nice kitchen scene. Mama Snark and Snark Jr. are breaking down all of it: the tears, the returns, the romantic left turns, and whether any of these characters have ever met themselves before. Pour something strong and press play.

Plus, all the regular features: Characters of the Week, A Strange Soap Recommendation, and, as always, Text Messages from Wicked Stepmother.

Don’t forget to comment on who Ethan was talking to on the pier.

  • Open Mic, Car Crash, and Lots of Sex!

General Hospital Snarkcast - Recorded Friday, April 10, 2026 The grand reopening of Charlie’s was supposed to be a good time. Drinks, music, a little community spirit. Port Charles said: hold my beer. We’ve got a performance and a secret performance, we had people in cars driving in a hurry, and naturally, there was a chaotic crash on the scariest highway in the world. We have questions. You will have questions.Brooklyn and Chase are holding on by the thinnest possible thread, Willow is applying for sainthood because she masterfully fixed the foster parent program, or at least she thinks she did, and Carly is conflicted, to say the least.Open mic night gave us a Trina moment that genuinely stopped us in our tracks. Her singing was great, the song, not so much. So, Snark, Jr. (David) rewrote the lyrics:"I'm standing here, but I am not aloneI have to sing a song that sort of make sense but doesn't on it's ownThe trees are all around me, I feel safe and soundWe don't know what to rhyme so I'll just say the word "ground"This song really only has to do one thingThat's to cover the montage that's comingDon't you see it's coming?Where Curtis and Jordan are driving, driving all aroundAnd I still don't know a rhyme so once again I'll say "ground"Let's cut to the audience looking at each other meaningfullyAnd do we need another rhyme so I'll just say the word "be"Jordan will say 'I love you' right before a car crash nowAnd it'll be a wreck by the time I take my bowSomething bad is happening, but I'll be brave, I knowThat's what we're doing here on the General Hospital show... oh oh oh oh oh oh..."This week had everything: bad decisions, complicated feelings, a surprise vocal performance, and enough romantic chaos to keep us busy for the full episode. Come listen. You're not going to want to miss this one.WHERE YOU CAN FIND US: Follow General Hospital Snark on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ghsnarkFind us on Substack where we do long-form articles: https://ghsnark.substack.com/ GHSnark Patron Information: https://www.patreon.com/generalhospitalsnark Follow General Hospital Snark on Twitter (if you're still there...): @GHSnarky (we mainly do reposts. • We Put the "FUN" in Funeral

General Hospital Snarkcast - Recorded Monday, April 6, 2026 Willow has figured out that something is Very Wrong with Kai and Trina -- which would be impressive if she had any evidence at all. She didn't until she overheard the conversation later. She just vibed her way to the correct conclusion, and honestly? Respect the intuition, question the logic.Meanwhile, Port Charles said goodbye to Marco in the most General Hospital way possible, which is to say: chaotic, emotionally all over the place, and somehow still involving Sonny. Speaking of Sonny -- he and Carly are growing up, you guys. We're cautiously optimistic but fully prepared to be betrayed by the writers within three episodes. And then there's Nathan. Except it's not Nathan. It's CASSIUS FAISON. His evil twin. Played completely straight. We have questions, we have concerns, and we have a lot of feelings about the General Hospital writers' ongoing relationship with the concept of "restraint" (they do not have one).Mama Snark and Snark, Jr. break it all down with the enthusiasm of people who have been watching this show too long to stop now.Plus, all the regulars: Character of the Week, Text Messages from Wicked Stepmother, and a super fun surprise!WHERE YOU CAN FIND US: Follow General Hospital Snark on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ghsnark Find us on Substack where we do long form articles: https://ghsnark.substack.com/ GHSnark Patron Information: https://www.patreon.com/generalhospitalsnark Follow General Hospital Snark on Twitter (if you're still there...): @GHSnarky (we mainly do reposts. • Peek-a-Boo! I See You!

General Hospital Snarkcast - Recorded Monday, March 30, 2026

Port Charles delivered this week and we are still processing.

Mama Snark and Snark Jr. are back to break down one of the more emotionally charged weeks General Hospital has given us in a while. Marco bit the dust, and Jason Morgan's exit hit differently than we expected, and we havea lot of feelings about it. The circumstances surrounding his departure opened up some genuinely interesting questions about where the show goes from here, and we are not done talking about it.

We're also giving a well-deserved spotlight to the entire cast, who delivered so many wonderful performances this week. When a character dies, we often get the kind of performances that remind you why you've been watching this show for decades. And Ava stepping into a comforting role? Character complexity at its finest.

Plus, we get into the Joss and Britt dynamic that is quietly building into something we are very curious about, director Alison Ream Smith's gorgeous cinematic choices this week, and what all of this week's groundwork might meanfor upcoming storylines.

It's a big one. Grab your snacks.

  • Wait! Did you say FOUR KIDS?

General Hospital Snarkcast - Recorded Monday, March 16, 2026

Port Charles has been BUSY and we have questions. So many questions.

Mama Snark and Snark Jr. are back with another deep dive into the beautiful chaos that is General Hospital, and this week truly delivered on the absurdity we have come to know and love. Jason was standing on a rooftop with agun in broad daylight and nobody batted an eye, Marco's fate is hanging in the air like a soap opera cliffhanger absolutely should, and the show once again referenced a basketball game we never actually got to see. Classic GH.

We cover the week's major moments, analyze effective character developments, and humorously critique surprising storylines, all from over thirteen years of PortCharles expertise in one episode. (YES! It’s Anniversary Month!)

Whether GH had you cheering or yelling at your TV this week, this is the recap you need.

  • No, Cody. You don't have it.

General Hospital Snarkcast - Recorded Monday, March 16, 2026

It's your favorite soap obsessives back at it again, and this week we have A LOT to say.

Mama Snark and Snark Jr. are diving deep into General Hospital's latest chapter, and we are not holding back. We kick things off with our word of the week (endometriosis has never been funnier, trust us), then get to who had agood week, and who had a bad week in Port Charles.

In this episode, we actually praise Carly for her maturity, kvetch about Molly and Cody, and discover that Britt and Lucas are the team we need. We weigh in on Danny, Charlotte, and the teens of GH, and have a long overdueconversation about how the show handles its characters of color. Spoiler: we have notes.

We also get into the Carly and Jason scene that impressed us, the eternal mystery of when Nathan’s return may be explained, our complicated feelings about GH's entire police force, and the soap tropes that just will not die nomatter how many times we beg.

Naturally, we share our Characters of the Week, David’s Soap Recommendations, and, as always, Text Messages from Wicked Stepmother.

It's part recap, part therapy, and entirely essential listening for any GH fan.

  • Carly & Valentin?! GH Just Changed Everything

Port Charles is UNHINGED right now and we have thoughts.

Mama Snark and Snark Jr. are back to break down all the chaos unfolding in General Hospital, and this week did NOT disappoint. From a shocking emergency C-section that came completely out of nowhere to a romance that hasfans doing a total double take, the drama in Port Charles is hitting different lately.

BLQ and Chase found themselves in one of the most intense and random baby storylines GH has thrown at us in a while. One minute BLQ is talking adoption, the next there's a baby in the NICU? We are unpacking every detail of how this storyline escalated so fast and what it means for these characters going forward.

Then there's Carly and Valentin. Yes, THAT pairing. Carly made her move and honestly? We kind of love it. Two fan favorites who have always existed in slightly outside the other's orbit are finally getting a real story together, and thedynamic is everything we didn't know we needed. We're getting into why this romance works, what it says about both characters, and how the show is using vulnerability to make us fall in love with Valentin all over again.

All your favorites are included: The Word of the Week, Character of the Week, Snark, Jr’s. Soap Recommendation, and, as always, Text Messages from Wicked Stepmother.

  • Course Corrections in Port Charles

General Hospital Snarkcast - Recorded Monday, March 2, 2026 Port Charles is serving drama, delusion, and questionable writing decisions, and we wouldn't have it any other way! This week on the General Hospital Snarkcast, we're putting on our critic hats and diving headfirst into the beautiful mess that is General Hospital. First up, the show is doing some serious course correcting, and honey, some of these characters needed a GPS ages ago. We're looking at you, Jack Brennan and Marco. Then there's Trina, once the queen of composure, now apparently auditioning for a role in a teen drama. We break down the Trina Tantrum Era and what it means for her character going forward. And finally, Maxie and Nathan's reunion came and went faster than a Port Charles wedding, which, as we all know, never ends well. We discuss whether this was a storytelling masterstroke or simply speed-running through plotlines.Buckle up because it's snarky, it's insightful, and it's everything you love about General Hospital... just with more eye rolls.
