General Nerdery

"Everybody's dead, Dave." Thus sums up just the beginning of classic science fiction sitcom Red Dwarf. Where it goes from there is some of the most idealistically ambitious sci-fi comedy the Generals have ever beheld. So to help out, friend and seasoned fan of Red Dwarf Jesse skypes in for a convo. What ensues is admiration and laughs all inspired by this time-traveled tale of two abject smegheads just trying to get Back to Earth. Also with news from Bond, Thor, The Batman, and more!

Some things the Generals are pre-sold on, Harley Quinn getting her own movie is one of those things. Surrounding her with even more kick-ass women doubles the excitement. Throwing Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) into the mix is a cherry on top. Suffice to say this manic, Margot Robbie filled movie had a lot to live up to. So after having seen _Birds of Prey_, how did it do ?

Life is never fully dull aboard a Federation starship, and sometimes it isn't even fully defined. This week the Generals take a look over at _Star Trek: The Next Generation_ as they do their best to quantify at what point a machine is also a person. Now, we love Data as much as the next guy (as long as the next guy isn't Commander Bruce Maddox), but Riker can make quite the argument. What do we love about this episode? Who do we hate? How psychic is General Zac? All of this as well as news on Doctor Who, Disney+, and more!

Time and Space are no obstacles to the Generals, they could ramble on about Doctor Who anywhere, and for a practical eternity. So to narrow things down they take a look at a later episode from NuWho, The Pilot, featuring Peter Capaldi as The Doctor, and go on further to imagine what some other Doctors would do in his situation. Also with news about Morbius, The Oscars, and more!
