Arsenal came into the game-of-the-week at Old Trafford top of the table, unbeaten in the league, wanting to continue their perfect winning form. Erik Ten Hag & Man Utd had different ideas as the Gunners went down 3-1 in a tantalizing game that saw the Brazilian debutant, the €100m winger Antony breaking the deadlock. Elsewhere, the Merseyside derby ended in a goalless stalemate as Jordan Pickford's Man-of-the-Match performance saw Frank Lampard's side stealing an important point v Liverpool.

As the red side of Merseyside dropped points, the blue half of Manchester failed to maximize as Aston Villa valiantly held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw - a precious point for The Villans & the under-fire Steven Gerrard. Leeds United went down to an Ivan Toney led Brentford, while Son-Hueng Min failed yet again to score this season as Spurs swept pass Fulham in North London.

That and more - plus Champions League previews & Malaysian football updates - here on Just For Kicks.

While we’ve done a lot to catch up with backlogged surgeries and disrupted medical procedures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there is another area that has yet to catch up: HPV vaccinations for 13 year old girls. With at least two cohorts of teenage girls that have missed their HPV vaccinations in 2020 and 2021, what impact would this have on the incidence of cervical cancer in the years to come? We speak to Dato’ Dr Saunthari Somasundaram, President of the National Cancer Society of Malaysia to find out why it’s vital we restart this vaccination programme for girls in schools.

In our ongoing series, There's No Planet B, we want to share everything you need to know about the climate crisis. We previously touched on why we're in a climate crisis, the effects of the crisis, and climate governance. In this episode, we want to tackle the three pillars of international climate change law: mitigation, adaptation, and loss & damage. The Paris Agreement discusses loss and damage using the phrase “averting, minimising and addressing loss and damage.” Loss and damage can be averted by curbing greenhouse gas emissions (mitigation) and minimised by taking preemptive action to protect communities from the consequences of climate change (adaptation). Pakistan -  a country responsible for less than 1% of global emissions - is now facing US$10bn in damage after the devastating floods that hit the country, highlighting something climate campaigners have warned for years - the global south is being disproportionately affected by climate change. Do we have a comprehensive understanding of mechanisms to directly address loss and damage once a climate catastrophe hits? Why is loss and damage in particular, such a contentious issue in climate talks? We discuss this and more with Meenakshi Raman, the President of Sahabat Alam Malaysia, and Head of Programmes at the Third World Network (TWN).
