For his exhibition Saffron Songs, artist Rajinder Singh draws on the "sonic qualities" of a specially commissioned Punjabi folk song to then inspire his paintings. The works pay tribute to his late grandfather, and reclaim stories both personal and political about his existence amidst the conflict and challenges of the colonial period in Malaya. We speak with Rajinder to understand how sound, memories, and art come together in this collection. 

The government has been addressing the issue of bullying both at school and at the workplace- the Ministry of Education launched an online portal for the public to submit complaints of bullying at school, while Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced the ministry's plan to implement a zero-bullying policy at all its offices and facilities. So first, we look at whether these new mechanisms are enough to stop bullying. Then, a discussion on how to recognise and address bullying signs and behaviours.

PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang took to Facebook calling for the eradication of corruption in Malaysia, before unceremoniously stating that the majority of people who are involved in corruption were non-Muslims and non-Bumiputera. We talk about the impact of political leaders making such sweeping statements, particularly when they're not backed up with any facts or figures.

虽然“卖猪仔”这一词汇看似是20世纪因中国爆发“下南洋”浪潮而发生的贩卖人口事件，但近期“卖猪仔”事件再次在马来西亚、台湾等东南亚国家盛行，造成人心惶惶。这起大型的跨国骗局往往打着“高薪招聘”、“娱乐休闲”、“舒适生活”等头衔诱骗民众前往柬埔寨，而这些受骗的民众抵达柬埔寨后不仅会失去人身自由以及与外界断联，甚至还会遭受毒打。与历史中卖猪仔的剥削相比，现今的卖猪仔有过之而无不及。

究其原因，卖猪仔事件与疫情后的经济问题以及中国的一带一路脱不了干系。在经济拮据的情况下，为了生活的民众只得冒险前往柬埔寨，殊不知这一去却让自己堕落到危险的深坑中。

At one point in her career, Bihzhu, just like many other musicians, measured success by awards and accolades. But over the years and especially after an incident at an awards show, her perspective changed.
