2021 was a far cry from the “return to normal” that some of us expected at the end of last year. Instead, movement restrictions were reimposed and we continued to stay at home in a bid to keep the pandemic under control. As we look forward to another new year, we also want to reflect on 2021, and in the first episode of this short series, HR consultant Deepa George and consultant clinical psychologist Dr Joel Low joins us to look back on the year that was at work and the toll it has taken on our mental and emotional well-being.

Worms are highly underrated, and their services to humankind goes unnoticed below the surface, and are therefore unappreciated. But not so for advocates of vermicomposting like Prof Dr Chan Yoo Kuen, who understands the vital role worms play in keeping us healthy and nourished. It was World Soil Day on the 5th of December, and in conjunction with that, Prof Chan, who is a CEO – Chief Earthworm Officer - and vermicomposting advocate, joins us to share how and why we should all get on the vermicomposting bandwagon. The Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013 - 2025 was drawn up after the Ministry of Education reviewed the education system in the country, and decided a new blueprint was needed. The decision was made in the context of the government’s aspiration of preparing our children for the needs of the 21st century, and increasing public and parental expectations of education policy. With 11 transformational shifts spanning three waves over 13 years, is the blueprint still relevant today? Is it possible we need a new one?
