The story features the performance of the play “Seven” by high-ranking military personnel from seven countries, of which six represent NATO members and one from Sweden, a NATO partner nation. The play is a work of documentary theatre that presents the real-life stories of seven women’s rights activists. The performance took place on 11 March 2014, at the SHAPE headquarters in Mons, Belgium. Compelling soundbites on the importance NATO places on women’s rights and snippets from the actual play are available. In the fight for equality, SHAPE puts on the performance of a lifetime. “Seven” is performed by high-ranking military personnel who take on the task of playing the parts of women militating against gender-based discrimination.
