📖 John 3:1-21

In a world marked by uncertainty, fear, and instability, this message dives into one of the most powerful conversations in Scripture, Jesus and Nicodemus in John 3. As chaos rises in our culture through political tension, economic anxiety, and global unrest, we are faced with a question. Where do we find lasting stability?

This sermon explores four common responses to instability, denial, distraction, despair, and domination, and why none of them truly satisfy. Instead, Jesus offers something radically different. Not behavior modification, but spiritual transformation. “You must be born again.”

Through the lens of Easter, we see God’s answer to chaos. He does not begin by fixing our circumstances. He gives us new life through Christ. At the cross, Jesus takes our sin. Through the resurrection, He gives us His life. The result is a secure identity, a renewed heart, and steady hope in an unsteady world.

This is an invitation to move beyond fear and into faith. To stop striving and start trusting. To leave despair behind and step into new life. In the midst of instability, discover the One who never changes.

What currently in your life feels most unstable or uncertain?
Which response do you tend to default to? (Deny/Distract/Despair/Dominate)
What do you think the core difference is between "behaving better" and "being born again?"
If it's true that you are fully forgiven, loved, accepted, secure...how can that change the way you live day to day?
How does having the resurrection life of Jesus in you help you to "dive in" instead of despair? Is there anything specific you sense God calling to you "dive in" to?

📖 Genesis 17:1-16

Feeling Out of Control? When the bank account drops, the car breaks down, or a health crisis hits, we all ask the same thing: "God, am I actually secure in Your hands?"

In this message, we look at the life of Abraham—a man who spent years swinging between bold faith and total panic—to discover how God provides security when life feels like it’s falling apart.

The Three Pillars of Your Security:
Things God Marks: How circumcision was a permanent reminder that Abraham belonged to God—and how the Cross is that permanent mark for you today.

Things God Keeps: Why admitting a situation is "too hard for you" is actually the first step toward seeing God’s power.

Things God Gives: The heart-wrenching story of Isaac on Mt. Moriah wasn't about what Abraham could sacrifice, but a "preview" of what God was willing to give: His only Son.

Stop trying to "white-knuckle" your way through uncertainty. True peace isn't found in controlling your circumstances; it's found in the God who refused to withhold His own Son from you.

Watch now to move from the "pendulum of panic" to a life firmly gripped by Grace.

1. When life feels chaotic, what do you tend to look to for security (apart from God)?
2. Part of Abraham and Sarah’s struggle was making sense of God’s timing.  Why is it hard to trust God’s timing even if we believe in His power?
3. Underneath it all, God invited Abraham to trust Him.  What is something in your life that you need to surrender to God?
4. How is this story ultimately not about what we give to God but what God was willing to give up for us?  Read Romans 8:32, what does that tell you about God’s care for you?

📖 Genesis 11:27-12-8

Have you ever wondered if your faith is really enough...or if your failures have disqualified you from God’s love?

Abraham’s story in Genesis reminds us that the foundation of our relationship with God isn’t our strength, but His grace.

God chose Abraham out of obscurity, made extraordinary promises to him, and called him to go without a map...only a promise. And while Abraham did take steps of faith, his journey was also marked by fear, doubt, and failure. Yet through it all, God never abandoned His word.

Why? Because the promise was never dependent on Abraham’s perfection, it was secured by God’s faithfulness.

In one of the most powerful moments in Genesis, God makes a covenant with Abraham and, symbolically, takes full responsibility for keeping it. It’s a glimpse of what was to come: a day when God Himself would bear the cost of our brokenness through Jesus.

This is the good news for us today.

When our faith feels small…When our obedience is inconsistent…When we wonder if we’ve done too much to be held onto…
God remains faithful.

The gospel reminds us that our hope is not in how tightly we hold onto God, but in how securely He holds onto us. Through Christ, every promise is fulfilled, every failure is covered, and every believer is welcomed into the family of God.

So this week, don’t look inward to measure your faith...look upward to the God who never breaks His promises.

“If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful—for He cannot deny who He is.” (2 Timothy 2:13)

3. What does it mean personally that God walked the blood path for you in Christ?

We all build “towers” hoping they’ll give us security, identity, and a sense that our life matters. The Tower of Babel shows how humanity has always tried to construct those things apart from God. But the gospel tells a different story. Instead of climbing our way up, God came down to us in Jesus.

Discussion Questions:
1. Where do you most often look for security or significance in your life right now?

2. What are some of the “towers” people commonly build today to feel safe or to prove they matter?

3. Can you think of a time when God interrupted your plans? Looking back, how might that have been mercy?

4. Why do you think it’s so easy for us to drift toward self-salvation instead of trusting what God has already done?

5. How does the gospel change where we look for our safety and significance?

When life feels overwhelmed by evil, violence, or the brokenness of the human heart, many people quietly wonder the same questions: Why does the world feel so messed up? Can people really change? Is there any hope that things will ever be made right? 

In this message, we look at the story of Noah in Genesis 6 and discover that the flood was not just an ancient disaster story. It exposes the deeper problem inside every human heart and points to God’s surprising rescue plan. While the ark saved Noah’s family from the storm, it also foreshadows a greater rescue God would provide through Jesus.

Why does someone else’s blessing feel like your loss?

In this message, we step into Book of Genesis 4 and the story of Cain and Abel to uncover the roots of envy, resentment, and spiritual hypocrisy. Like the rivalry portrayed in Amadeus, we see how comparison can quietly harden into anger...and even accusation against God: “You haven’t given me what I deserve.”

But this story isn’t just a warning. It’s an invitation.

The blood of Abel cried out for justice. Jesus’ blood cries out for forgiveness. When we realize we haven’t received what we deserve...but mercy instead...we’re finally freed from envy and rage.

If you’ve ever wondered why life feels beautiful and broken at the same time…this message is for you.

Starting in Gospel of Luke 24 and walking all the way back to Genesis, we trace the story Jesus says we often miss: the whole Bible is about Him. Not moral heroes to copy. Not disconnected stories. But one unfolding rescue...from a good God, in a good world, shattered by a terrible lie…and pursued by relentless grace.

Today we wrestle honestly with healing...our hope, our doubts, and our pain. Scripture shows us that God is a healer by nature, that Jesus healed all who came to Him, and that His compassion hasn’t ended with the resurrection. While healing remains a mystery and doesn’t always happen when or how we want, we are still called to pray in faith and not give up. We don’t place our hope in formulas or mindsets, but in the faithful heart of God. Whether healing comes now, later, or ultimately in resurrection, we trust Jesus, obey His call to pray, and continue to seek His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

What does this passage reveal about Jesus’ heart toward suffering people?

Have you ever witnessed a supernatural physical healing? 

Where do you personally drift more—toward quitting on healing (mindset) or trying to control it through your efforts (methods)?

You are more than your circumstances, more than your thoughts, and more than your emotions. While your soul may fluctuate, your identity in Christ is finished and your union with Him is secure.
