We're the best in the West and West is OURS! Steve discusses how the Rose Bowl and the old West rivalries were super fun and exciting. He argues a decay in the old time rivalries has made college sports less exciting and not as fun for the fan experience.

Jonathan comes from the underdog perspective, where Cal hasn't been to the Rose Bowl in his lifetime. College sports today, although not perfect is more egalitarian than before with TCU, K State, and UCF making recent splashes.

Steve thinks college football, of all sports, is on the precipice of a major scandal for gambling. The rewards and recognition are skewed and it is only a matter of time before something happens.

Jonathan is more optimistic and thinks the smaller schools and teams have better opportunities than previous.
