GenErik

I sit here in my birthday suit which is an actual suit I am wearing because it is my birthday, thinking since it's my birthday I shouldn't be doing a mix for tonight's podcast. Which is cool, because previous highest rated friend-mixer https://soundcloud.com/discosid-mashups-2 stepped up to the plate with an ass-kicking summer deep house mix that evokes everything from early Chicago techno to hip hop to the latest bassiest club music without ever getting boring. But, I of course misjudged how much work I have to put into these shows even without doing the mixes. So the last half of my birthday has been dedicated to getting this great music out to you. Hope you appreciate it ;)

OK, so I said no NEW podcast this year, but since it's the silly season I got silly and blew the dust of this classic party set. It's all handcrafted, custom bootlegged mix. And I went back and replaced the tracks with higher quality versions, better transitions in places, a little less Gangnam Style and a much finer remaster.

This is an Andrew WK approved way to kickstart all your xmas parties.

My first 3 hour set with a slight Italian flair. For a sunday sesh at Belvedere Bar, Portside, Brisbane. Right on the river, packed to the rafters! Good times were had by all. This gig required me to play some "party music" and some management requests, so look out for some 2006 style MoS tracks about ⅔ of the way. Other than that it's house / lounge / disco / funk and edits all the way. And due to some technical issues some rather embarrassing mixing in places. Oh well, that's live mixing for you :)

Corporate gig this weekend. They've requested some Aussie pub classics. Made this one a little more DJ friendly with emphasising the original samples and fattening it up.

Making up for tardiness with an EARLY podcast. Feels like forever since I did a mix, but then again I just realised I pulled four in a row before xmas. Anyways, here's my first mix for the year: What I played at LA Vibrations, a boat party on the beautiful river of Brisbane with some of the finest local talents (including DefWil, Australia's only deaf DJ, who piloted two episodes ago).

Enjoy some love boat vibes:

01. Jack Jones - The Love Boat (GenErik Edit Dj 'S' Bootleg Extended Dance Re-Mix)

02. St Germain - So Flute (Mozambo Remix)

03. Africanism All Stars Produced By Bob Sinclar - Meu Carnival

04. Carlos Silva Feat. Nelson Freitas & Q-Plus = Cré Sabe (Knee Deep Club Mix)

05. Yogi & Husky - It Feels Alright (Miguel Migs Petalpusher Rework)

06. Sam Smith - Stay With Me (Throttle Remix)

07. JackLNDN - In Paradisum

08. Duke Dumont feat. Jax Jones - I Got U (Kav Verhouzer Resouled Mix)

09. Frantique - Sunny Morning At Playa Blanca (Cafè Playa Mix)

10. Todd Terje - Strandbar (samba)

11. Disco Machine - Going Back to My Roots

12. Midside - Diving in the Sun

13. Felon - Isla (Sebastian Carter Remix)

14. John Newman - Love Me Again (Macksimus & Sterkøl Remix)

An exclusive I have been sitting on since mid-last year. Finally released in the company of some extremely talented producers for what I consider the funkiest release of bootleg, mashups and edits ever: BOOTALICIOUS - THE FUNKY MASTERS - VOLUME 2.

Download the entire album for FREE. It's amazing. I promise.
