About the Guest: Janice Munemitsu is a passionate believer in the power of spiritual formation. Introduced to the concept by a spiritual director 15 years ago, she became deeply intrigued by the practice and dedicated herself to studying and understanding it. Following in her mentor's footsteps, Janice enrolled at Talbot School of Theology, specifically the Institute for Spiritual Formation. Commonly referred to as ISF, this institution provided her with a comprehensive education on spiritual formation.
At its core, spiritual formation is rooted in the idea of abiding in the Lord, as highlighted in John 15. Janice describes it as an ongoing process of aligning every breath and every decision with the teachings of Jesus. The practice involves delving into various spiritual disciplines, including solitude and silence. These disciplines have significantly impacted Janice's faith journey, leading her to experience a deeper intimacy with God and a stronger sense of his guidance in her life.
Janice Munemitsu's story is one of transformation and growth. Through her pursuit of spiritual formation, she has discovered a new level of connection with the Lord and a shifted perspective on living as a Christian. Her journey serves as an inspiration for others seeking to deepen their faith and cultivate a more intimate relationship with God.
