「And the Lord said to Abram,

　after Lot had separated from him:

　"Lift your eyes now and look from

　the place where you are-northward,

　southward, eastward, and westward;」　　Amen.

  From the time Abram believed in God, his life was one of separation and separation. He was separated from his native land, separated from his relatives, and here he was separated from his nephew Lot. Lot saw for himself and chose a land that looked good, but it was a dreadful den of sin. Abram looked north, south, east, and west as God told him to. But there God's blessing was ready for him.
