Genesis 3:1–13 shows how temptation, deception, and disobedience first entered the world, bringing shame and separation from God. The serpent twists God’s word, Eve and Adam grasp for autonomy, and sin fractures every relationship—vertical with God, horizontal with one another, and inward with themselves. Yet even in the midst of failure, God seeks his people, pointing us toward the covering and redemption that only Christ, the last Adam, provides.
