Genesis 2:4-25 narrates the creation of the heavens, the earth, and humanity according to the LORD God. It describes the formation of man from the dust of the ground, the planting of the Garden of Eden, the creation of trees, rivers, and animals. Adam is tasked with naming the animals but finds no suitable companion. God then creates woman from one of Adam's ribs, and they become one flesh. They live naked in the garden without shame.
