Romans 1:16-17 - In this message, we are reminded of the power and beauty of the gospel of Jesus Christ and our call to live boldly and without shame. Acts 2:1-14 - Pentecost is the culmination of Passover and First Fruits. Pentecost found people physically, emotionally, and spiritually freed. This freedom allowed them to enjoy the outpouring of His Spirit and understand and respond to the bountiful harvest of His Word. 

Pentecost is topped off with the giving of the greatest gift possible- God’s Word and the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:12-26 - Jesus has now returned to heaven and the promise of the Holy Spirit is the next major thing to occur. All they know is that the Holy Spirit will come at some point and Jesus will return as He left (Acts 1:8, 11). 

There are some things happening that this group of people will navigate through. They navigate in sincerity, together, and with a love for Jesus. 

Isn’t that like you and me. As we anticipate God’s next thing in our lives, we sincerely want God’s best, are not interested in being an island to ourselves, and we love Jesus.
