Noah is a central character of the Old Testament. Patrick preached Genesis 9 this last week and helped us see the major point of the text, which is that righteous people, saved by grace, are still sinful people.

Not that we are “just sinners,” but that righteous people do sin. And that magnifies grace to the glory of God. It continually reminds us that we need to be more and more like Jesus. It helps us from believing that we are awesome but that God is awesome.

It's the fact that, “Drunk Noah” was “Ark Noah." A righteous man, used by God, was drunk and naked, passed out in his tent.

Easter 2017 by Genesis Community Church

The story of Noah’s ark can be easily twisted or misunderstood. But if we look through Gospel lenses we can see some key principles. Today I sat down with Patrick to talk about those fives points a little more in depth. We talk about:

- Understanding God’s holiness and the depth of our own sin

- What “righteousness” really means

- Why trust is the essence of saving faith
