Over the course of our lives, we have lied and been lied to…a lot. So much so, we often find it hard to believe someone when the promise something to you. “I’ll call you tonight,” but don’t. “I’ll help you move this Saturday,” but never show up. All these lies and let downs can be projected towards God as well. Does he ever change his mind on a promise? Will He keep His word and really follow through, even when things seem impossible? God’s promise to Abram can give us assurance that He is not like everyone else. God always keeps His promises.
