Aron Ra joins me to teach you about the Christian theological implications of the Big Bang, Solar Nebular Theory, and Biological Evolution. Can you be a Christian and believe in evolution? Is biblical creation in Genesis literal? Can it be metaphorical? Our answers might surprise you. This is How to Fit Christianity with Science (feat. Aron Ra)

Atheists face discrimination all over, including in the United States. We're the most hated and/or distrusted group in America, so I had my concerns about coming out. I became an atheist over 2 years and just recently told my friends and family. Here are my experiences in coming out.

How Quacks Imitate Science | The Cargo Cult Science of Creationism and Alternative Medicine

Uploaded 31-12-17

The quacks of creationism and alternative medicine imitate science in multiple ways, yet they see no scientific progress. Richard Feynman described cargo cult science as doing just that. Deepak Chopra, The Discovery Institute, and Eric Hovind share a similar approach. In religion and woo, homeopathy and creationism, quantum healing and hydrologic sorting, cargo cult thinking abounds.

3 Mormons Accidentally Discredit Mormon Doctrine (A Response)

Is Mormon doctrine racist? Were Joseph Smith and Brigham Young racists? Why were black people denied the priesthood until 1978? Kwaku and Ian of the channel “3 Mormons” insist that Mormon doctrine was never racist, just that the founding prophets were. In doing so, they accidently discredit the teachings of Brigham Young entirely. 3 Mormons cherry pick their doctrine in order to defend their church’s integrity, but end up disproving the inherency of Mormon prophecy instead.

Also, the end of their video shows how dangerously devoted they are to their church. The church’s model of operation seems to be pulled straight from the pages of George Orwell’s 1984. I have no qualms in saying that Mormonism is a cult.

7 Common Arguments for Alternative Debunked

Alternative medicine proponents argue for their viewpoints in similar ways to religious apologists. Their arguments are just as ill-informed and irrational as any religious fundamentalist’s. So, debunking them takes little more than basic critical thinking skills and a little understanding of how drugs are researched and regulated. Naturopathy is pseudoscience, essential oils don’t work, homeopathy is a scam, the supplement industry is bogus, and the terrible arguments their proponents present are definitely no help.

The claims I debunk are as follows:
1. There are no side effects
2. I’ve experienced it and it works
3. It's been used for thousands of years
4. There’s research about it
5. Big pharma is all about money and alternative medicine isn’t
6. Pharmaceuticals are derived from plant extracts, so you might as well take the “real thing”
7. God made it so it must be the perfect medicine
