• Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) -
• The company will report quarterly results on Tuesday of next week. AMD has historically reported between 4:05 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. ET.
• Target (TGT) -
• A play on a new bullish recommendation by analysts at Oppenheimer. Over the long term, Oppenheimer believes Target "is well positioned to continue capturing share, driven by digital efforts, store investments, merchandising success on the exclusive brand front, competitor liquidations over time, and partnerships with other brands/retailers."
• AT&T (T) -
• A play on earnings out of the telecom space. AT&T will report quarterly results Wednesday morning. Peer in the space Verizon (VZ) reported inline quarterly earnings and gave lighter-than-expected guidance Tuesday morning. Verizon shares were down about 2% following the report.
• Albemarle (ALB) -
• A play on a lithium miner. The company gave better-than-expected guidance Monday afternoon and will host a strategy webcast at 9 a.m. EDT Tuesday. To tune into the webcast, visit Albemarle's investor relations page.
• Genius Group (GNS) -
• A penny stock momentum play. Shares were squeezed higher Monday as traders and investors circulated news highlighted in a Benzinga article "Illegal Short-Selling Scheme Puts Genius Group In David Vs. Goliath Fight." Genius CEO Roger James Hamilton appeared on Benzinga's YouTube channel Monday and noted company management is not planning to do an offering amid a sharp rise in the stock price.
