  • They Aren't Intelligent! | "Day 27" Patriot Pushup Challenge | GenXpert (#0029)

They Aren't Intelligent! | Day 27 Patriot Pushup Challenge | GenXpert (#0029) Rick Carman (00:00)Hey everybody, Rick Carman here, and welcome back to GenXpert. we're on day 27 of the Patriot Push-Up Challenge. That's day 27 of the Patriot Push-Up Challenge. That means we got four more days left after today. So that's awesome. I'm so excited. If you're just now joining us, we're doing 31 push-ups for 31 days of July, and we're on day 27. So if you missed it, go back and do all the push-ups and then catch up. I'm just kidding.if you miss it, you can start today and finish up with us, or you can go back and start with number one and then finish up and do it do it yourself. Either way, if you've been with us this whole time, thank you so much for joining me on this journey. I really appreciate it. You could be anywhere else, but you're here and I'm proud of you for showing up today. We're just trying to stay fit as men of our 50. We're just trying to stay fit in shape, you know, develop consistency.I'm gonna do this because I gotta go to the gym here in a minute. It's like a hundred degrees outside, but the wind is blowing a little bit, so not not as bad as it has been. And but I'm gonna do my push-ups so I can go to the gym. Trying to get consistent with going to the gym, trying to get consistent with eating properly. you know, at this age or at any age really, we've really got to watch what we're eating, what we're putting in our body. Our body is our temple, right? So we gotta be careful what we're putting in our body as we're made in the image of God. And we need to take care of this image, okay? And we need to make sure we look good, we feel good. and you know you just want to stay healthy, you want to live long for your family, for your grandkids, for your kids, and all that stuff. The longer you live, the more people you can bring to Jesus. Am I right? I'm right. So so that's what we're trying to do. I'm getting stronger. I'm gonna go check my bench press today, see how I do.

  • Not The Summer I Wanted | "Day 24" Patriot Pushup Challenge | GenXpert (#0026)

Not The Summer I Wanted | GenXpert ((#0026)Rick Carman (00:00)Hey everybody, it's Rick Carman again. Welcome back to GenXpert. And we are in day 24. That's right, day 24 of the Patriot Push Up Challenge. we're doing 31 push-ups for 31 days of July to honor our Patriots and our veterans, and anybody else who had a hand in making this country great, the great freedom, free country that it is. And so we're on day 24. I'm so excited. One more week left.Next Friday will be the end of this Patriot Challenge. I'm getting so strong, but I'm also getting so tired. And and maybe we'll have some different kind of videos coming at you the next week, falling that week. So let's get these push-ups out of the way. It's getting kind of warm out here. I gotta go to the store, gotta go get some gasoline for the mowers and all that stuff. So let's let's get these push-ups done.myOne, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one,Before you say didn't go all the way down, my shirt was hanging. Cause I'm cause I'm you know a lot smaller than my shirt now. So it looked like I didn't go all the way down, guys. I know you're out there, but I did. I did go all the way down. Well maybe on a few I didn't. Who knows? But anyway. Yeah, it's hot on the farm today. We did a lot of mowing yesterday. We got some to do today, got to cut some trees down, all that stuff. you know, I realized today, I don't know about you, but I had a lot of plans this summer, you know. I had a lot of things on my plate this summer to do. And it's already almost August. And I'm not done with even half of them. So the summer kindaI I think because of all the rain the summer kinda got away from me. We had so much rain that my my schedule of stuff that I need to do outside the projects that I had planned and all that it kinda got thrown in the back burner. And so now I'm coming up on school starting in August where my schedule's gonna have to change d dramatically to take my kids to school, or one of them anyway. And so my project list is gonna have to change because with the break in the day, taking the kids to school, picking them up, and then going to martial arts and different activities and stuff like that, my project list is gonna have to change, get smaller. So I didn't get what I wanted done this summer. I had big plans this summer. This summer was gonna be the summer of me. And doing all this stuff, getting all this stuff done that I wanted to get done. But I spent most of the time watching it rain, then mowing, watching it rain, then mowing again. so I'm kind of disappointed. But I guess I could look back and say, what did I accomplish? You know, what what did I get accomplished? What what projects did I get done? I started a new project with this channel, so this this channel kind of took a lot a lot of my time, at least early on.I was trying to figure out how to do it and I'm still I'm still learning. But this channel is important to me because if I could just reach one person, one of you guys, and give you some good advice or or bring somebody to Jesus, or you know, just tell my story where somebody can relate and know that you're not going through something alone, then then I'll be happy. That's just just one person. There's just one person out there, I'll be happy. So it's worth it. You know, it's worth it to me. It's giving me new life and all that. But on the other side, I still have projects to do, I still have life to live. you know, I don't make any money doing this channel, so I've got I've got to earn my keep around here. So so that's that's kind of where I'm at with this.

  • Forgive & Forget | "Day 23" Patriot Pushup Challenge | GenXpert (#0025)

Forgive & Forget | Day 23 | GenXpert (#0025) Hey everybody, it's Rick Carman again. Welcome back to GenXpert. We are on Day 23. That's right, Day 23 of the Patriot Push-Up Challenge. We are doing 31 days of 31 push-ups in the month of July for the push-up challenge to honor our Patriots and our Veterans and anybody else who had anything to do with keeping the country free and bringing this country here to us.And so that's what we're doing. We're on Day 23. I'm so excited. It's a little bit cooler here today. We're going to do a little bit more yard work here today. but I wanted to get out here and knock these push-ups out before I did some yard work so that I wouldn't be too tired afterwards. So let's get on it.Rick Carman (01:20.364)Ready one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one.Rick Carman (01:55.138)Okay. I don't know what happened. Something pooped on me or something. I don't know. That's 31, man. They're getting easier. They're getting a lot easier every Day. They're getting easier and easier. Maybe I'll do 32 tomorrow. No, I'm just kidding. I won't do that. so anyway, I don't know if I have much wisdom for you today.Rick Carman (02:20.706)I was thinking, I was talking to a friend earlier today and he said he said something about forgiveness. And I was thinking about forgiveness. You know, it is pretty hard for us sometimes to forgive those who've who've done us wrong. We all have somebody that's done us wrong. You know, it's says somewhere in the Bible not to harbor that that unforgiveness. Because if we harbor unforgiveness, what's it say about us? The Lord forgives us for all our sins, but we can't forgive our brothers and sisters. How's the Lord supposed to forgive us if we can't forgive anyone else? So think about that. If you're harboring unforgiveness towards someone,I know it's difficult, I know it's hard, but the Lord forgives us for the awful things we do. And if He can forgive us, we must forgive anyone else. And remember, revenge is the Lord's, it's not ours. So just keep that in mind. If you're going through a tough time, if you're dealing with something where someone has wronged you severely, or you had a horrible child upbringing.Doesn't mean you have to forget what happened. You know, it doesn't mean you have to be someone's best friend. But in your heart, you need to forgive them with the Lord, pray about it, and say, Lord, take this burden from me, take this hate from me, and because it can eat you up inside, it's not good for you. just let it go and be be at peace with it.Hand it to the Lord. That's that's why He's here. Hand it to the Lord and say, Lord, deal with this person. Deal with my feelings. If you're having trouble, say, Lord, take these feelings away from me and give me peace. Because honestly, if you can't forgive somebody, they're living rent-free in your head, right? If you can't forgive somebody, they're they're they've got you right where they want you. So you're really just hurting yourself. Holding that holding that unforgiveness. SoRick Carman (04:42.392)Just think about that. If you're dealing with that, maybe that message is supposed to hit with you somewhere, somebody out there. I don't know. try to find some good things to talk about, some wisdom to share, and maybe maybe maybe I need to pray a little bit more. Maybe God will give me something to share with you that somebody needs out there. So maybe I'll focus on that more. Maybe I should focus on prayer more. So, so anyway, we're on Day 23.

  • Leave A Legacy | "Day 22" Patriot Pushup Challenge | GenXpert (#0024)

    Leave A Legacy | Day 22 Patriot Pushup Challenge | GenXpert (#0024)

Leave A Legacy | Day 22 Patriot Pushup Challenge | GenXpert (#0024)Hey everybody, welcome back. It's Rick Carman here, and you're watching Gen Expert. we're back for day 22 of the Patriot Push-Up Challenge. We're doing a 31-day push-up challenge, 31 push-ups and 31 days for our Patriots and our veterans who keep this country free and safe. And just America 250. We're just doing it to stay in shape and honor America and toget in shape and get consistent with our workouts. I know I'm getting stronger. I can do pushups, you know, all in a row now, which I wasn't able to do really before. So that's good. If you haven't been here before, we're doing the 31 push-up challenge, 31 days, 31 push-ups a day. That's what we're after. So join us in on that. If you're coming back for the 30 30 the 22nd dayThen thank you for being here. I know you could be anywhere else. Appreciate you being here. I got I got dogs here. They're they're they don't know that they're extras. They're supposed to be extra. Quite on the set. They don't know. Let's get these push-ups out of the way. It's kinda hot.Alright, back off. Alright. Ready. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty one, twenty two, twenty three, twenty four, twenty five, twenty six, twenty seven, twenty eight,Twenty-nine? Thirty? Thirty-one. Ugh.Had to hurry and do those cause I was getting tired. And we still got a lot of mowing to do today. Cause we live in the country and we got a lot of mowing to do. So it's warm. SoAs these days go on, we're doing this every day. I started off with a lot of wisdom and a lot of comments, and you know I was able to talk to you for a long time, but as the days go by every single day, I ran out of wisdom. Ain't that funny? So I run out of things to talk to you about, but not today. Today I want to talk to you about something likeyour legacy. I don't know if you ever think about your legacy. I do. Especially when I see people die. And I wonder I wonder, you know, like what was their what was their legacy in life. When you pass away, who's gonna miss you? Not just your family and your friends, but will the world miss you? What are you doing every day to make yourself valuable? Are you are you doing something to better the country, to better the world, to better your life, to better someone else's life? Are you active in your community? You know, are you do you do special things at work? Do you volunteer? When you're gone, are you gonna be missed? Is there gonna be a gap where you were? Or are people just gonna say, he was a good dude? That's what I'm thinking about. That's what I try to think about. I want to get up every day and make myself valuable.I wanna make myself valuable first of all to the Lord Jesus Christ as a spokesman and I walk in his feet and I show the light to anyone that'll look. That's number one. Number two, I wanna be valuable to my community. when I'm gone I want people to say, Man, we're sure gonna take a hit in this area, or man, he sure did volunteer a lot orMan, he well he's gonna be missed, you know. You know, there's you know, been some people die like Lindsey Graham, for instance, regardless of your side of the aisle you fall on. He was working in Ukraine, he was working on Iran, and he was working, you know, to against the Russians to try to get these deals done. He had all these irons in the fire. AndYou know, there's a big hole now that he's gone. You know. so I think about somebody like that, you know, in our in your community. Think about somebody that goes to your church that just does everything. Or somebody that you just is a solid rock that you lean on all the time. Somebody that's dependable. That's what we're trying to be. That's what I want to be. That's what we all need to try to be.]

Thirty one push ups.Ready.One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one,Yeah.Well, they're getting a lot easier. I'm knocking them out now. Boom boom. I hope you are too. I want to thank you for joining me. I know you could be anywhere else, but I'm gonna thank you for watching this channel. this channel is for you. I'm hoping I can provide information. We're doing a put push-up challenge right now, so there's not a whole lot of information being provided, just doing push-ups together. But it's something we could do together to get in shape, to honor our heroes and the people that made this country great. you know we're just doing it America 250. We're just doing doing it for that and to build consistency with staying in shape. recently we went and saw young George Washington andIt was a really interesting movie. I never really thought about George Washington being young and brave and all that stuff. So wind's kinda blowing today. Hope the camera's not shaking too bad. it was just interesting. If you have a chance to go see it, go see it. It it'll it'll make you feel patriotic. And it gave me a little boost to get some push-ups done, you know, soit's been really hot here. We've been having hundred degree days here in Arkansas. one thing I want to talk about, we've had an air conditioner that's consistently been leaking. our air conditioner people who installed it have been out here probably at least four times to fix the same unit. We have several different unit heads, you know. And you know todayIt was super hot. It started laking a couple days ago and it was super hot today. And they came out today and I and I was just I wanted to be angry so mad so bad. I wanted to when they got here, you know how you feel, like you're you're just ready to light into them. You're like, you know, this this is shouldn't be happening. I paid a lot of money for this. I know it's under warranty, but you guys need to figure this out, you know, and I wanted to jump on them. They said they were going to send the the A-team, you know, the bosses out, you know, to check it out to see what's going on. two guys arrived. They look like they were they were on their summer jobs from high school. Braces, I kid you not, braces. And I was like, they haven't even been out here before. They never even dealt with my units before. I was not happy. And but they were young guys, they were polite and nice guys. And I told them I wasn't happy. but as I felt myself getting angry and my tone changing and my inflection of my different voice, you know, inflections change, I I I rolled myself back and I was like, these guys are kids, they're just here to do their job.

I should have done this early this morning, but I didn't get out of bed in time. I had other things I was doing. So we're gonna get these push-ups knocked out and then I'll come talk to you. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one,Whew well, sorry about that. For those of you that are new here, we're doing 31 push-ups for the 31 days in July to honor our patriots and our veterans and anybody else who had a hand in keeping this country great and free. rememberI got water right there that I'm not gonna drink right now. But remember, if you're out in the heat, especially if you're our age, over 50, you gotta be careful with the heat, guys. Take breaks, drink electrolytes, drink a lot of water. make sure you're you got food in you. but take breaks. I came out here.I've been inside for a while. I come out here and gonna do these push-ups. Then I'm gonna go right back inside until it closed off a little bit. Got the dogs inside. If you got animals like I got, especially animals with like thick fur like German Shepherd's and Great Pyrenees, bring them inside. Cuz however hot you are, they're twice as hot. They've been outside just for a few minutes here with me, but they've been inside all day. It's hot. I mean it's hot. So not a big message for you today. Just watch out for the heat. Stay hydrated. Keep doing this fitness challenge. Keep doing your push-ups every day. I feel my body changing. I feel everything changing, my strength, all that. And watch out when you're if you're out in a like I am.Watch out for snakes. We killed a big snake yesterday. That was pretty big. So watch out for animals. The other underneath stuff trying to stay cool. Snakes and whatnot. But that's all I got for you today. I just wanted to come out here and get my push-ups out of the way. That's 31 push-ups. • Send Me! | "Day 19" Patriot Pushup Challenge | GenXpert (#0021)

Send Me! | Day 19 Patriot Pushup Challenge | GenXpert (Ep.#0021)Hey everybody, I'm Rick Carman, your host, and we are on day 19 of the Patriot Push Up Challenge. That's right. 19. We have gone 18 days in a row doing 31 push-ups for the month of July. Today will be our 19th day. We've done 31 push-ups for the month of July, and we are honoring, in case you're new here, we are honoring the Patriots in America 250 andveterans, anybody who's had a hand in keeping this country going and safe and starting this country, we've we're we're honoring that's what we're doing with the push ups and we're trying to stay in shape at the same time. So like I said, thirty one push ups today. Day nineteen. Let's get it going. All right.Mm.One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one,Woo Yeah buddy can't see you there you go Yeah so it's really hot today I don't know if you can tell but it's really hot and I got some new gloves kind of wore the other ones that are out had gas on them stuff so we also had a this is life on the farm okay we had a snake get in the guinea pinAnd it was a big snake. Have to take care of that. And now we've got a guinea loose on the porch. The dogs are all going crazy over it. Little bitty baby guinea. So gotta find that one. That's just another day in the life, right? we went to church today, we had a good time. one thing the pastor talked about was wanting to do more.Do you believe that you're called to do more in this world? I've been thinking about that a lot before this this service today, which is a part of the reason I started this channel. And I think we're all called to do more than we actually think we are. we don't think we're worthy, you know, we don't think we're good enough for God.For God to choose us to to do something great, you know, for the for the kingdom or even for ourselves or for our family or for somebody else. You know, God used throughout the Bible, he used misfits, he used people that were broken, he used people that were flawed, he used sinners, he didn't use, he didn't go find the perfect people and use them. And that's one thing I really had to get over in my life is I never felt good enough really to be a tool or an instrument for God. I never really felt good enough or smart enough or or you know righteous enough to give God's message out to you know I was like who am I who am I to tell you about Jesus? Who am I to tell you to find Jesus?when i struggle every day with with things with with worldly things right but paul and many others in the bible talk about you know struggling themselves with worldly things and you know it's I think it was Isaiah six Isaiah 6:8 that talks about send me you know God says who will go for us. Isiah says. I will Lord, Send Me.
