GenXtemporaneous

The discussion of the Strange Case of Natalia Grace winds up. This week we discuss the documentary in whole with special guests Kelly and Joann. Joann had been on this program before and is our cohost on the Vampire Insider podcast. Kelly helped us dissect the hot mess that was Inventing Anna. This story is so wild that we needed both of their help to make sense of it.

The bizarre story of Natalia Grace wraps up with episodes 5 and 6. In these episodes, the limited focus of the documentary opens up somewhat beyond just Michael's narrative. This doesn't stop the squalor, weirdness, or confusion.

The Barnett Family continues their spiral into weirdness. Marc and Kristina dissect their parenting decisions as they have Natalia "re-aged" and move her out to her own apartment. And the mysteries surrounding her background do not become less muddied. Join us for the wild, wild ride.

Episode 2 of "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace" is every bit as wild as the first one, if not more. Join our discussion as we speculate about both what is shown and, perhaps more importantly, what isn't being said. What is going on? Let's see if we can't sort it out together.

Natalia Grace was adopted by the Barnett family in 2010. Right from the beginning there was drama, doubts about her age and back story and allegations of attempted murder. We take on this bizarre story through the lens of the HBO Documentary, "The Curious Case of Natalia Grace." This week, Episode 1, "Meet the Barnetts."

Last week, we discussed the series finale of Ted Lasso. Since then, we've seen the predictable kudos, laments, and discussions we would expect. That includes criticisms of people's genuine feelings about the show. Edge lords, in particular, seem to delight in yucking other's yums. We discuss this phenomena and explore the motivations behind it.

We have been enjoying and invested in the positivity of Ted Lasso for three seasons. Join Marc and Kristina for their take on the season finale. Shockingly, they do not entirely agree.

Welcome to our continuing discussion of life coaching. This time, we discuss whether overused buzzwords are problematic. As Kristina says, if everyone is a Narcissist then is anyone a Narcissist?

This week, we continue our discussion of life coaching. This week, we focus on Lighthouse International, an organization in England ostensibly meant to enable personal growth and entrepreneurial success. It seems, however, that the only entrepreneur seeing success is the founder of Lighthouse. In fact, Lighthouse has come to note and not resemble a cult.

Life coaches serve a variety of functions that include career advancement, helping to develop strategies for living, improve relationships, and many other areas where the consumer believes coaching will improve their chances for success. With av lack of regulatory oversight, do customers always get the assistance they need? This is part one of at least two where we discuss this controversial but growing industry.
