There are so many different types of geocaches with sub-types of several of them. One of those sub-types is called a liars geocache. These are a fun twist on a geocache where the finder gets a chance to get creative. Maybe you've heard of them. Maybe this is a new concept to you. You may even have several lairs geocaches in your find count. Whatever the case, join me and returning guest Lee Katz as we dig into what these geocaches are all about.

Etiquette is defined as "the customary code of polite behavior in society or among members of a particular profession or group." But what does that mean in terms or geocaching? Maybe you're new to the game or maybe you're a seasoned geocacher with thousands of finds under your belt. No matter what your find count is, we all need to follow some basic etiquette to help making geocaching fun for everyone. Join me as I talk with Chris of the Northwest, one of the host of Caching the Northwest, as we discuss geocaching etiquette from finding and hiding to trackables and SWAG.

What do you get when you cross a camping podcast with a geocaching podcast? You get the camping podcast talking into going geocaching. At least that's what happened here. I had the pleasure of doing a sort of crossover with the Super Good Camping Podcast. They allowed me to come onto their podcast to talk about geocaching and then were super good sports about combining geocaching with one of their camping trips and then talking about it on Geocache Adventures. Join me as I talk with Tim, Pam, and Thomas, the host of the Super Good Camping Podcast to hear about their adventure with geocaching and answer their questions about the game of geocaching.

Geocaching typically takes place outside but what if there was a video game you could play that would lead you to caches in the real world? Well there is. At least there is for the 31 geocaches that make up the EmberQuest geoart and series. Join me this episode as I talk to Dan Monroe, fellow geocacher and creator of this fun twist on geocaching.

A wherigo is a unique type of geocache. They have a physical container like a traditional cache and immerse you in unique experience a bit like an adventure lab. They are truly one or a kind. However, they also present some unique challenges. From trying to create a wherigo to trying to load the cartridge, these geocaches are known for frustrating geocahers. In this episode, I talk with fellow geocacher, Steve Miller, about wherigo geocaches. We take a look about how to create them, how to play them, and how they compare to adventure labs.

So many geocachers are passionate about the game of geocaching and that passion can manifest in many different ways. Many host events and create hides while many others enjoy documenting their travels and adventures in blog or vlog form. Once such geocacher, who you may be familiar with, is Halemeister from the Geocaching with Halemeister YouTube Channel. In this episode, I'm joined by Halemeister as we discuss everything from how he got started vlogging, to the origins of Mr. Bill, and much more.

If you listen to this podcast then you know what geocaching is and most of us have probably heard of search and rescue teams before either from the news or TV or movies. But how do the two go together and how do you train dogs to do it? In this episode, I'm joined by returning guest Kitten Davis, to talk about her background in search in rescue and how she uses it, not only for navigation training, but to train dogs for evidence recovery.
