This blog post highlights recent new sketches I am creating utilizing oil crayons on warm paper. You can see a sample image, one created just for Valentine's Day, on my Instagram and Blog sites. Then, you will see here an image of a poster from my Americana Poster Gallery, "America the Beautiful," offered today in honor of the nearly everyone who stood-up during the singing of America the Beautiful and the Star-Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl, two days ago. Great news! Get 20% off any print, Flash Sale beginning today in honor of President's Day

In this episode, I wax somewhat philosophic on lighthouses, in particular, on Castle Hill Light, which is seen if you visit the Inn at Castle Hill, Newport, Rhode Island. Find other lighthouse art prints in my Paint Prints Gallery on my art site. Perhaps a special someone in your life would like an original lighthouse art print from George Delany Art?

This week's art print recommendation is that of a lighthouse in South Portland, Maine, "Spring Point Ledge Light," from my collection of small studies in acrylic paint completed on wooden shingles, some years ago. I have only recently rediscovered this series and hope to be adding more prints to my website in coming months. Have a look! In a time when Covid seems to be making a comeback, stay healthy, be well. Check out George Delany Art for a variety of prints on differing themes, mediums and messages.

Buying art, giving art, even prints, is a joy-- is what I've found. What is it, for you? This week, I feature a print of an acrylic painting done on canvas board at a scale of 7" x 5" in which a single woman is the focus of the painting surrounded in an office setting by her three electronic devices and the single cheeseburger she eats, at the same time. The entire series of paintings follows this format, of which this is one of my favorites. I call this painting, "My Really Important Life #20." Thanks for your interest in my work.

This week's blog in sound...references a graphic print, a typographic print featuring the verse from John 3:16 and its excellent suitability as a gift, this year. After all the clothes, gadgets, books, food and assorted other gifts have been given, this one captures the essence of western civilization over 2000 years, does it not? See other print ideas from my Faith Prints Gallery.
Thank you for your support, this year, and may you have a wonderfully rich, Advent Season.

Blog 91, December 6, 2021 offers my first real winter image, one of a slightly blurry shoed-foot trudging thru snow that threatens to cover the ground any moment. This is an image that hints at the risks of winter, the uncertainty of every step, on so many occasions. Check out, "Slush Foot in Winter."
Then, you may want to see my Pre-Christmas Art Sale, happening right now. Get a coupon code and receive 20% off all prints thru December 15, 2021. And here is my eMail marketing message of this past week, in case you'd like to receive these sorts of regular updates on new art offerings.

In sound, from my Photo Prints Gallery, here is an image that grows stronger over time, "New York State in August," one I like a lot, it captures the beauty of the state, the rural quality of the mid-land, the pastoral beauty of the farms sprinkled out across the hills and mountains under a summer sky equally dotted with clouds gleaming in the hot summer sun. Have a look. Thank you for your interest in and support of my creative efforts.

Photo art...via sound! This week, my photo print suggestion is one of a scene in Jackman, Maine...one that implies a sense of the spirit of Thanksgiving. Solitude, peace, a bit of tranquility as the sun sets and the day passes. See more such images of this season, here.
Suggest if you are interested in art and photo prints this season, you shop early, shop now...avoid shortages, back-logs, "supply chain issues," do this today.

This edition recalls Veterans' Day, 2021. A friend has ordered a print from my Americana Collection, the Battle Hymn of the Republic...and has requested this print on raw canvas. A first. Thank you for this order. In this edition, I highlight this particular image and those related to it, a set of seven prints designed by yours-truly in the aftermath of the events of 9.11.01, as a way of expressing my gratitude for our Veterans, the one percent who give their lives to protecting this Nation. You can listen to this and other transcriptions of my blogs on my Anchor Home Page. Thank you for your interest and support.

How about a very contemporary art print....given to your loved ones or friends, this holiday season? Here is a suggestion, "Working Stiff 4", based on a series of small acrylic studies done FOURTEEN YEARS AGO, of individuals hard at work...at their computer screens. The artist likes the topic! See others of the same style in his Painting Prints Portfolio. Thanks for your interest and support.
