In what was a highly anticipated return to Formula 1 after summer break - we instead got a two lap formality to issue half points in a very disappointing and wet Belgium GP. Max Verstappen gains on the championship battle with Lewis, cutting the differential to 3 points. 

The only driver deserving of a podium and points was Williams driver George Russell who qualified on the front row in 2nd and received his first podium and trophy in his 50th race entry.
