What's going on everyone, welcome back to another episode of Unscripted.
This week on the show Georgia Ellenwood stops by. Georgia probably does the most tiering discipline in track and field. She's a Heptathlete. 7 events in 2 days. She represented Canada in the 2016 world indoor championships, 2018 won NCAA while at the University of Wisconsin, broke all their records, was Big 10 conference athlete of the year and later that year won her first national title at the Canadian championships. She became an olympian in 2020/2021 where she finished 20th.
I had a great conversation with Georgia and we touched on a lot. if you've been keeping up with Georgia's career to date, then you know she tore and ruptured her Achilles last year the good news is that she's back on her feet.
Episode Highlights:
-How she got started in the sport
-Lessons learned from her parents
-Why she picked the University of Wisconson & Transition away from the track
-The tough truthful words her coach said to her that motivated her to win NCAA's
-The Gray area of sponsorship in track and field
-The backstory behind her ruptured Achilles tear & The energy it took to get back on her feet
-Day-to-day rehab and the mundane process of it
-The importance of letting go and why's working on it
