Today the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz begins a 3 day tour of Canada with a delegation of German business and energy execs. Germany is facing massive energy and economic deficit/challenges (office and public buildings must keep max heating at 19 degrees Celsius this winter) and rolling blackouts may occur. Why is this happening? Germany's own poor energy planning and management? Is it a leap to expect Scholz will be looking for LNG energy help from Canada? According to the Trudeau government such discussions will not be on the table. And how often does a German Chancellor visit Canada?
