DEVO co-founder and music pioneer Gerry Casale joins the team to talk about his incredible career which has spanned more than 40 years. Gerry talks about growing up in the tumultuous 60's & 70's, from discovering his musical influences to being drafted to go to the Vietnam War. He recounts his impactful years at Kent State during the politically charged Nixon era and shares his personal experience of being at Kent State when the killings occurred. He talks about how his political and artistic motivations led him to co-found the group DEVO and how he would go on to compose and create what would become a new genre of music, New Wave.
