If your camera is capturing 8-bit 0-255 or 10-bit 0-1023 values and you're using an external monitor/recorder you may not be recording the full range of your image. We discuss this in depth and provide a simple, short-term solution via the L³ "Legal Level LUT" created by Thomas Smet of Digital Devigner.
