Avoid this book

Worst business audiobook I've purchased (out of over 30). Narrarator had a head cold and a thick British accent. At times, he may have been either eating or short of breath... couldn't tell for sure. As for content, the author would go on and on about senseless things such as what type of car he rented while on a business trip, then to go on to tell the listeners about how long his drive was from the airport to his office. Give me a break already. I couldn't finish it. It felt like I was listening to the author's personal memoir. Argh...

Pretty good book

I liked the part about Money and Love (P. 311) because I think thatâs an important thing most couples forget to discuss. For example, keeping your two separate bank accounts and deciding which insurance runs on whose name, and so on. I thought it was really good advice, in case the relationship ends.

Great book [German only]

Most people learn much about mathematics but pretty little about (the much more useful topic) money: invest strategy, getting finances straight, saving up money, stocks, insurances etc. If you are interested in these money problem, then this book might be for you.

Before I get any further: This book is only available in German. If you're, like me ,learning German and/or especially want to learn from German entrepreneurs, this book is what you've been looking for!

The book is easy to understand, even with it being in German. There were no parts where I thought âwhat could this mean?â. Also, the information you will receive in this book are something you can comprehend. What I also liked: You do not only have the text, but also diagrams to help understand some of the advice. There is no big thing or accomplishment that you have to do before you can implement the advice in your life. It was really refreshing to see that, âbeing financially independent is for everyone,â to say it in the words of the Author.

What you can expect:

- Learning how to get the right mindset for your financial freedom.

- How you can effectively save money.

- Learning how to live your own dream.

Important content in easy German

I was pretty surprised about how easy the author phrased the book. I didnât have the feeling that someone was talking down to me, but I was on an eye level with a partner that good advice for me. I especially liked the chapters about how to save up money and why insurances are important. Something that I thought was really cool, was the fact that you have âcashcodesâ in the book.

This book is well written. I never thought how to start with stock market... But when i read that book, it was wery clearly to me how, when and whay to start with stock market trading

Good book for rudimentary understanding of trading stocks.

Wow, very well described!

This audiobook did an awesome job at clearly defining what a Ponzi scheme is. This audiobook is short, but I highly recommend it for anyone trying to learn about firms or companies trying to pull a fast one on their customers.

Would you consider the audio edition of What Is a Ponzi Scheme? to be better than the print version?

Yes, the audio version is a lot better. Royal Jaye has an amazing voice that worked out perfectly for this article. Anyone buying questionable product should give this book a listen.

Antiquated rules of behavior pointed out; mocked

What was one of the most memorable moments of Barbarians of Wealth?

The discussion of the deep level of security that surrounded the creation of the Federal Reserve. Today -- nothing like that would be possible. This book does not cover the creation as "how demonically clever these men are" but more as if she was creating an introductory paragraph for a Fail blog.

What does Jo Anna Perrin bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

There's a dismay and "grandpa's got gravy on his tie" embarrassment for the current people in power that comes across so well in her vocal delivery that might be missed in print.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

"Fakers gotta fake". The comparison between people and institutions that actually moved society forward and people who scooped off the best bits for themselves could not be more stark.

Any additional comments?

The last sixth of the book contains some action plans, which are useful as far as they go, but the primary benefit of this book is the magician's reveal; once you know how the trick was done you won't ever be clapping and admiring the people who put themselves on stage ever again.

A GREAT guide!

This book provides sound advice on how to approach your personal financial situation. Useful

I must admit that I'm a mess when it comes to personal finances, so I decided to look for help. I've found this book to be clear and precise, as it goes straight to the point. I believe you can never have to many books of this nature. And for the price and the valuable information inside there isn't a reason not to get this one. Loaded with investing tips and how to handle the markets. And if you don't invest you fail to plane for your retirement and life. Informative

The title intrigued me: Peercoin. I love learning new things while trying to keep up with the trends of today. This is a short manual teaching you about your virtual online purchases on the internet while using cryptomoney, whether you are a buyer or a seller on the internet. What surprised me the most was that I am already using the concepts of the information which is provided in the book but I never knew the technical terms or differences between them. It is interesting how cryptocurrency ledgers with peer to peer currency can be anonymous while sending flowers or buying a simple lunch that you might not want someone else to find out about. While using virtual funds for a business it can also protect you from fraud because the authenticity of a cryptocoin is found in its code and codes can only be associated with one coin. By using cryptocurrencies we can also protect ourselves from identity theft because we are not exposing our credit and debit cards in any type of money exchange. In this book the author also talks about the Pros and Cons of digital online transactions. Peercoin prides itself on being the first and only peer-to-peer cryptocurrency to date.

Just what I was looking for

Ever since I figured out that cryptocurrency is here to stay, I've been looking for a good resource on peercoin. Initially, my search for information on this topic was less than fruitful; there is a ton of good information on bitcoin on the internet, but not much on Peercoin.

Thankfully, I came across this wonderful resource. Branson explains the concepts of cryptocurrency and peercoin with authority and clarity in this book. And that's the reason why I highly recommend this book to anybody who wants to make the jump into the cryptocurrency world.
