I'm speechless

*** I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.***

I feel a little guilty leaving the worst imaginable review to an author but I have to be honest.

First, I had the plot figured out 7-8 minutes into the story. Second, The dialogue was so bad it was like watching children doing a role play exercise of adults speaking to one another, It was that juvenile and frankly a bit odd. Third, The narration was unbelievably bad. The narrator did this thing where instead of any change in inflection or tone to portray emotion (negative) he just raises his voice but it remains very monotone so you end up with a guy yelling in a flat voice for most of the book. I'm sorry but I just have nothing positive to report on this book.

Fun, frothy piece.

I really liked this installment in the series. The main character has enough moxie to make her fun, and her swimming ability makes her interesting.

I do think Erik is running out of ideas though, the romance was flat. I just didn't really see it as a romance because Erik put no effort into it. He put even less into the plot at times, generating a nasty villain, but leaving so much of the tale unexplored in a rush to a less than perfect ending.

It's still fun, and I'm willing to give it 4 stars

Miss Doctor

I have to say this one is my second favorite of the sentinels series after Fate. The world sound more established The and lore is becoming more and more stable. The characters feel something more and I especially love Mera's mom. A good addition to a good series

Excellent story!

The fourth book in the New Sentinels series is just as strong as the others. Excellent characters and an exciting story that keeps you on your toes page after page. The characters are so engaging. Serious yet playful and captivating. Great read.

Best of the series

This is by far the strongest story in the New Sentinels series. The characters feel well fleshed out and the story had a very nice pacing to it. Loved the action in this as well because you really get a sense of the storm and seas as well. Looking forward to seeing more like it in future books!

Not a mermaid

Okay, I think this one may be my favorite one so far in the sentinels series, I loved the storyline and the interaction between all the characters, I wonder who is going to show up next, and when will they all meet?

Very good series so far

I somehow found a post Patricia Logan was doing on Facebook where she was giving away free codes for book 2. After seeing Michael Pauley was narrating I bought both audios right away.

Very action packed stories. If you liked Abigail Roux Cut and Run series I think you will like Jarrett and Thayne too!

A Great Series

As the second books in the series, this book takes you on a wild ride full of suspense, mystery and of course hot men. Thayne and Jarretts relationship continues to grow and we get to know the two men in a deeper level. Their feelings and fears reveal themselves as they spend more time together on the trail of a fanatical terrorist cell hellbent on causing massive loss of life to further their cause. Their chemistry is smoking hot and the action is fast paced. Pauley knocked the narration out of the park as always.

Five Darling Stars

This series is a favorite of mine. I normally get nervous with a continued series that has several books. I worry it will get tiresome or trite. No need to worry with this series. From the first book all the way to the last, this series is amazing. Each book has new cases while continuing the underlying story arcs about Mills Lang and Jarrett's past.

Patricia Logan does a great job in weaving together a story that is full of action, romance and close friendships. Each book shows a growth in the characters and their relationships. Jarrett and Thayne are one of my favorite book couples. Watching them fall in love and work to keep and grow that love over the series never gets boring. I appreciate a love story where the MCs work together to overcome internal and external obstacles without angst for angst sake.

I was excited to see this story and these characters come to life in audio. Worth it just to hear Jarrett call Thayne darling. Michael Pauley did not disappoint in his narration. Although at times, I felt he narrated a bit too quickly, especially during action sequences.. But once I got used to it, it was fine.

If you enjoy action and adventure mixed with scorching romance, you will not be disappointed with this series

LOVED

I love a good murder mystery. Throw in some romance and I'm all in. I was in book heaven. This book got me with the first scene.

Not much resolution

I'm conflicted, I found the plot very interesting and the characters are too. It's weird knowing basically from the get go who the murderer is, and the switching between 3rd and 1st person narrative is bothersome. But it's really the lack of resolution at the end that makes me not care for the story. It was so bad It encompassed my annoyance at the Native American stereotyping lol. Probably not a reread for me.

That was a strangely unusual story. You call that

I grabbed this book on a whim because the premise was very interesting. I'm glad I did.

This is a second chance at love story; an abstract look at a murder, almost reminiscent of My Neighbor Totoro, in that there's no violence, no hard fraught danger, but rather a slow telling of a set of circumstances; and, story of consequences that stay even after the day has passed.

Will I listen again? Definitely, though the why is just because it was such a strangely gentle tale that just is.

Wow!!

Omg this book was sooooo good. I think Devin McCormack is an awesome writer. I loved Mark and Tim. I couldn't stop listening. Michael Pauley is one of my favorite narrators, he did an amazing job! I all around absolutely loved this book. It was really hot too

Dirty secret

Love this book! Tim and Mark are an unlikely pair but BOY is their chemistry combustible! A great story that finds these two have more in common than they thought. They find something neither thought they could find- love. But it is not an easy journey. Highly recommend!

good storyline

Loved the story but had a struggle because of the narrator's need to used a high intonation at the end of every single sentence. completely ruined it for me couldnt enjoy the book at all and thats too bad because the parts of the story i could stomach was pretty damn good.

Filthy Little Secret

I don't have a whole lot to say about this one...

The book was good, writing was good, audio was good. Nothing really stood out making this book "extra" for me, making me feel like I need to listen to this one more than once. Overall Michael Pauley did a good job like always, no problems with this narration, it was fine.

It's about Tim the Drug Dealer and Mark the Governor's son. You would expect that Tim being a drug dealer would be corrupting Mark, but that's not really this story. They both are really not that bad as people in general. But boy are they Filthy. I mean the dirty talk during the sex scenes was pretty good, dirty, hot and the story was definitely believable and not over the top.

Nice comfort book

Best New Artist is a nice contemporary story about a famous country singer, Kasey Tuffman, who decided he was done with Nashville and lucky for him, his ex decided to invite him over to stay at his place to unwind. Little does he know that all he has been missing while in Nashville was in fact his ex-boyfriend, Jonah Littlejohn.

What I loved most about the book was that there were so many times that the author couldve made it into a vert angsty book, but didnt. There were so many times that Jonah assumed KT thought a certain way, making it seem like he valued his career as an artist more than their relationship, but KT always ended up pressuring Jonah to talk about why he was closing down right away, making their conflicts short and resolved fast.

I was a bit annoyed about the endearments though. They were too much. KT always using babe and Jonah always using honey. When they were trying to be intimate, every sentence contained an endearment and it became too much for me.

The audiobook is narrated by Brian Hutchinson and his accent fit really well with the premise of the story. The only issues I had with him was that he sounded about the same for both MCs and it was sometimes hard to follow. This especially since he tends to speak really fast sometimes. There were parts where one of the MCs would speak carefully and he would just read over it normally. What further confused me was the fact that the author used many different nicknames, especially for KT, which in the beginning made it hard to follow, switching from KT to Tuff to Kasey...

Overall it was a great comfort read and anyone who likes stories about musicians will definitely like it.

Entertaining story, nice narration

I enjoyed this story of getting a second chance at love. It's a lovely, humourous story that also deals a little with abuse. The narration was solid, loved the Texas twang and the phrases. I couldn't always distinguish between the MC's but this did not in anyway lessen my enjoyment of the narration. The narrator is new to me, but will definitely listen to his narrations in the future.

Beginning again...

Looking forward to the next part of the series. This is a story, chock full, of a plethora of characters...some in which you like, some you dislike, and some you're just not sure of. This begins where #4 ends and transitions for the next couple of weeks. I love Kennedy's writing style and because I am listening to the audio version, Michael Ahr is amazing and adds so much to the story. My favorite character has to be Beulah...a great read...

Hilarious and Emotional

As soon as I heard Michael Lesley had signed up to do the audio for Until You I have been impatiently waiting for the audiobook to release.

So. Worth. The. Wait.

Lesley brings the humor and emotion in this to life with such obvious love for the characters and story.

Get ready for an awesome gut hurting, side splitting time listening to this. But don't forget this is a Klune story - so there are also feels along the way.

Paul and Vince are finally getting married! Told in Paul's POV, Until You is everything I hoped for, wanted and needed, and even a bit of what I didn't know I wanted but am so happy I got, in this series.

The whole gang is back, including Sandy - who's there, of course, to be the best man, but also to pull Paul back from the edge as needed.

Paul's mom and dad, Nana, Sandy, Darren, Daddy, and Corey/Kori are all back and make this completely hilarious.

From office blowjobs, to diabetic breakdowns, to epic bachelor parties, to sexy Paul coming out to play...What was that? Oh, yes...#SexyPaul comes out to play...to the most perfect Vince and Paul wedding ever...this was absolutely wonderful, funny, and heartwarming in every way. Thank you, TJ Klune and Michael Lesley for an absolutely delightful time. Until You delivers. It delivers all over us.

Laughed so hard I may have peed a little

I don't care what anyone says, Michael Lesley narrating Sexy Paul just may be the best thing since Michael Lesley became everything that is Gary the hornless unicorn. Until you had a genuine heart and humour that will have you both 'oohhhhing' at the love and baying like a donkey at the humour. How Michael narrated this without dying of laughter is a credit to his professionalism. Of course, I *guess* (winky face) TJ Klune should get some credir for the writing. He did good!!!

Another winner from Tj Klune

Another great story from the fabulous Tj Klune! Love being able to revisit favorite characters! Michael Lesley does a superb job narrating the characters and bringing them to life!

Best narrator ever!

TJ Klune's book is hilarious, add in a narrator that really gets the characters and it just brings the story to life. I had already read the ebook of Until You but had to listen to Michael Lesley read it. The voices he does, especially for the MCs, are perfect.

Highly recommend to all TJ Klune fans, fans of mm romance,and anybody who loves a good laugh.

Good story overall

What made the experience of listening to Poppy's Secret the most enjoyable?

I enjoy Andrew Grey and even though this is a shorter book I still enjoyed it very much. I liked the way the author didn't slam the two main characters together and bam its perfect. The story was well written. The narrator did a very good job.

Which character as performed by John Solo was your favorite?

This is a new to me narrator. I enjoyed him very much. He had both men perfectly and even the female characters worked. That's not something you find every time.

Nice, kinda meh.

I think I may be in the minority here but I wasnt a big fan of this story.

First, I didnt think Pats devotion to Poppy (total abstinence!) and lack of a social life felt healthy and I wondered at his inability to even date in all that time.

Second, I really didnt like Edge and his reasons for leaving nor his making Pat feel bad for his secret. I just never warmed to Edge very well.

Third, John Solo, though he did a fine job didnt do much to make me fall in love with this story. He is a capable narrator and the sound quality was good but I didnt find anything swoon-worthy in his performance.

Though it was as predictably sweet as Id have ever wanted (or expected given the Dreamspun line) I didnt love this. It was good and entertaining and fans of the trope and the author will probably be well pleased.
