Dramatized Radio Production, Not Unabridged Book
My rating is not a comment on the well-respected actors in this performance, it's a reflection of my disappointment when I realized this recording is not the unabridged book read by a single narrator but a short (approx 1 hour) dramatized production for radio. Now I know to check the file details before buying!
More please
These are marvelous and although they take some liberties with the plots, very worthwhile. I am hoping that more of these BBC productions will become available.
Fun, Fun, Fun
Love these dramatizations. I used to wonder how folks could stand to have only radio, but comedy plays really, really well. And these voices are terrific.
funny i laughed out loud...
What did you love best about Agatha Raisin and The Potted Gardener & The Walkers of Dembley?
Some of the one liners Agatha said had me laughing out loud.., eg
What was one of the most memorable moments of Agatha Raisin and The Potted Gardener & The Walkers of Dembley?
Agatha talking to Mary ... Agatha is so rude.
What about Penelope Keiths performance did you like?
Everything, I only listen to these because of Penelope Keith, she's the best.
Radio play
This is performed more like a radio play than a pure audiobook. Penelope Keith is a perfect Agatha Raisin. Very fun.
