Another Great Addition to the St. James Series!

I fell in love with the characters on ther first St. James Book! Cat is one of my favorite characters. She is a gorgeous model and has gone through a lot since her mom died. Having a crazy ex-boyfriend to boot doesn't help, specially after what happened on the first book.

Hank is a great guy and so dedicated to his mom and sisters. Cat and him have so much quemistry! He is smart to thread with caution after Cat blew him off the previous year by not calling him back.

Cat gets some major news that will affect the rest of her life and instead of opening up for support, she clams up and tries to keep her distance from Hank. Telling him she doesn't want a relationship.

The narrator did a great job. Such a great listen that is hard to put down!

I'm looking forward to the next book. Jackson has been so troubled throughout this book! Hopefully he will find the girl of his dreams that will treat him right.

Great continuation of story line

It was a great read. I enjoyed that all the characters were involved and the story continued.

I love Jamie Beck's books. Ran into her book by accident and was hooked from the beginning. Every book has hooked me from beginning and I fell in love with every story. I laughed cried and was drawn into the story. I hope she keeps up the awesome work. I will continue to follow this author and hopefully enjoy many more books.

A Fantastic Brilliant Close to a Touch & Go Series

This portion of Kristen Ashley's The Unfinished Heros series is the final chapter. While each book can stand alone, if you are going to read the entire series you may want to stop reading this review. It contains spoilers, I don't purposely do this but you have been warned!

Olivia Shade is the daughter of a crime family powerful. Nick wants retribution from them for making him watch them murder his woman.

Olivia feels that she is nothing more than a pawn to be used however her father seems fit, to advance to business and career.

Nick and Olivia cross paths. Nick is never going to love again, after the murder of his girlfriend. Olivia does not even know what love means. However there is an electric spark that flows through Nick & Olivia every time they touch.

I really enjoyed this book and it seemed to go a lot deeper as far as the plot, etc. I do not know if that is because it is the final book in the series or what, but I had difficulty putting it down.

SPOILER!! The very end chapters of this book, KA brings us up to speed on all of the previous characters and how their lives look now. I really enjoyed that, so very much.

Stella Bloom is new to me (in this series.) I would mark her performance as above average because of her ability to handle such a large class cast of characters. There are male & female and an occasional kid. If I see something that looks interesting to me in the future and she is the narrator, I will grab it in a heartbeat.

Notes/warnings: graphic descriptions of sex, violence & strong language, also the discussion of trafficking anything from drugs to girls to women this may upset some readers.

This is definitely for the older than 18 years crowd. I like my books racy & spicy and this series was a little bit outside my comfort zone. If you don't mind the things that I warned about, it is a great series.

First I dont think I would have enjoyed this book as much as I did if I had to eye read it.

I feel like Jim Frangione brought all the characters to life for me. Because there are a lot of characters, and I know myself I would have gotten confused. I did a little when they would get called by there last names and not there firsts.

Now lets get to the smoking hot book my ears are still burning from.

Oriana Delgado just wants her father to be proud of her or pay her some attention; she is in a dead end relationship. Only she is lusting after someone else.. Or someone elses. So when events come to light she decides to through caution to the wind so to speak and step out of her comforts zone. From 5 men to 3 you heard that right. She not only steps out of her comforts zone she blew it out of the water

You must remember this is a BDSM book as well, and that brings out a certain kind of character hence, 3 doms Max, Dominik, Sloan.

For me this is a book about pushing your limits then pushing just a little bit farther. I enjoyed every part of it, and Tyler stole my heart just a little bit more with his protectiveness.

I cant wait to listen to more of this series.

Know what you are committing to -- it's a long book

I really had no idea what to expect from this book. It's a romantic thriller with a diffuse and improbable plot. The characters (male and female) are almost all beautiful, rich, self-centered, unintelligent, and haunted by past experiences of pain which they manage to transcend for unconvincing reasons at the author's convenience. There is a great deal of explicit sexual description that is curiously not erotic. Worst of all, the values that the author assumes her readers share with her border on the repulsive. Youth and appearance, money, self-indulgence, male bonding through violence, abuse of women are all approved. It's confusing that the heroine, abused over the course of an eight year marriage by her husband, finds happiness in submitting to the domination of an idealized hero who, though he does not hit her, treats her with disrespect and lays down all the ground rules.

Yeah, all this is pretty bad. The narrator, however, is talented and very funny. She does a great job of differentiating the voices of a large cast of characters, and handles various accents with ease. I hope she gets some more interesting (or less revolting) assignments in the future.

Best KA book ever!

My favorite KA book by far. Narrator was phenomenal! She nailed every accent! May have to read (listen) to it again I enjoyed it so much.

Loved this book! I'm an avid fan of Kristen Ashley and have enjoyed all her books. I really like how she ties most all the characters, from all her series, into other series she writes. This book has been one of my favorite so far!

Repetitive-Same Dialogue over and over and over...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Became tedious due to the repetition. "Oh God, oh man, did he just say that?" Lost count as to how many times this dialogue was used. And lost count on how many times Sam said, "Got me babe?" UGH!!!! Narrator very good but had little to work with. Usually like Kristen Ashley.

Big, Hot, Sexy Mess!

I loved this story so hard (pun intended). I'd already read Mister O, not knowing it was a sequel, but Charlotte and Spencer's story was awesome! Knowing they are best friends, and have agreed to remain friends, after pretending a fake engagement for a week, you'll never guess the outcome until, yup, you guessed it...the end!!! Seriously, the author drew this one out until the very last minute! Just when you think you KNOW what the outcome MUST BE, it changes! A true nail-biter!

This friends to lovers romance is a must read!

Would you consider the audio edition of Big Rock to be better than the print version?

Yes because Sebastian York's narration was brilliant. His inflections and voice changes added so much more depth and emotion to the story. It kept me engaged from start to finish!

What other book might you compare Big Rock to and why?

Tangled by Emma Chase. They are both written in the male pov and are heartfelt, sexy and hilarious.

Which scene was your favorite?

Altho I loved the whole book, the de-briefing scene and both epilogues were my favorite scenes.

This friends to lovers romance is a must read! It is one of the sweetest, funniest, sexiest, most romantic books I have ever read! It is told completely in Spencer's pov and is refreshing and hilarious! Spencer and Charlotte are best friends and business partners. They have an easy friendship and know each other better than anyone else. When they agree to fake their quick engagement for a week, it is for their mutual benefit. Charlotte to rid herself of her bothersome ex. and Spencer to help his father sell his business. But lying isn't easy for Charlotte or Spencer. He loves and respects his father so much that the guilt weighs on him.

Long and brining

I really enjoyed this series until the final installment. The story dragged out longer than it needed. The characters seemed much more immature from the previous two books. I found myself resenting Olivia and her constant back-and-forth. The only redeeming quality of this book was Andi Arndt and her superb narration.

I didn't want this trilogy to end!

excellent story. I didn't want it to end. Jessica tells an amazing story. Not many books make me tear up but this one did. Andi as usual did an excellent job.

i mean there was a lot of sex ( which is always good) however i loved the LOVE story behind it, that she was willing to give up anything for david, it just goes to show how powerful love really is, because of this i could definitely relate.

3 days it took me. I couldn't put this series down. Dreamed of it when I finally was able to close my eyes each night. The characters were so so so so - I can't even find the word. It's, loving, tender, heart wrenching. So much love and understanding - so much torn heartbreak! What an ending! Thank you for this series-;)

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are my favorite narrators separately and together they are the DREAM TEAM. I seek out books by the two of them and was the main reason I purchased this book as I'd never read this author before. They capture the emotions of the characters perfectly at all times. Their narration turns books into movies, which is amazing.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The first couple of chapters were very gutwrenching and certainly captured the mourning experience very well, in my opinion. Plus all the moments with Liam and Ara were very touching.

TRAGIC, HEARTBREAKING, BREATHTAKING & BEAUTIFUL

If you're looking for a light listen then this isn't your book as it's a heartbreaking journey of loss, broken dreams, betrayal and grief as Natalie has to come to terms with the devastation of losing her Navy SEAL husband during a mission. But it's also a beautiful love story about her and her husband's best friend Liam as they grieve together, slowly become friends and eventually lovers. Liam is sexy, handsome, understanding, supportive and patient - a true hero - but he is also a Navy SEAL too and Natalie has to face the fact that, once again, if she chooses Liam history may repeat itself and she could be left alone again.

This is a very emotional story as it tracks Natalie's life as she gets the tragic news, gives birth, attends his funeral and has to piece her life back together and, even when Liam comes onto the scene, her grief takes time to lessen in the arms of a very loving and caring Liam. His interactions with Natalie's baby is also touching and, at times, funny and he never excludes the baby in their relationship. A relationship which is slow to build but wonderful to witness.

There's some interesting secondary characters, twists, sex, passion, romance, shocking drama and angst by a 'third party' and a network of friends all within the brotherhood of the SEALs. Great narration topped this tear-jerker of a story off and added to the rawness, the depth and the emotional journey that Natalie and Liam took. And the cliffhanger was a jaw-dropping OMG of an ending..... but yaye thankfully book 2 is already available.

Worth a credit? As the story opened up I really didn't think I was going to like it, not because of the talented Author's work or the narration, but because it was so heartbreaking.... however along the way I became totally invested and consumed with the characters and all the very emotional dilemmas that they faced as their feelings tentatively grew.

What just happened?!!!

What did you like best about this story?

Beside the fact that it had me at the edge of my seat from the very beginning? Wow! I literally found myself having to pause the book in the middle of chapters because I was SOO scared of the all the emotions bombarding me about these characters.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't want to give any spoilers away so I will refrain from describing anything specific but you're in for some "feels" with this one. But if you're a Hoover fan, you know its inevitable.

original story I'm in awe over this book

please let me say that I read alot of romance and I'm not easily impressed. this book blew me away with the orginality and the context. I laughed and I cried. Colleen Hoover is a master of writing heart aching and awesome love stories.

Wonderful storyline

Perfect everywhere except.. The female's narration sounds pained and overly dramatic for the story. Excellent storyline though, I totally fell in love with it.

November 9 is not a cookie cutter romance novel. The story is so different and surprising.

Ms. Hoover is a master at throwing unexpected plot twists and turns at her readers. I fell in love, had my heart broken, laughed and cried.

What made the experience of listening to Come Alive the most enjoyable?

Jessica Hawkins's Cityscape series captivated me from beginning to end. There's not a thing about it that I would change.

How relatable the characters were, even with the MC having so many flaws.

Andi is brilliant as the narrator for this series. She fit perfectly!

Better then book 1

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would recommend this book to anyone. This series is real, raw, powerful, and could happen to anyone of us at anytime. This book is about making hard choices, any doing things that will impact others. Some reviews say this is a whiny story, I disagree!! This books is all about Liv and what she needs be happy.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved David he was strong and powerful but not over bearing or making her decide, he just gave her space to what she wanted.

Have you listened to any of Andi Arndts other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not, but i would again. I cant say enough good things about the series.

Bitching & Moaning

I thought Come Alive was about 7 hours of Olivia bitching and moaning about whether she should stay with her boring husband Bill or have an affair with bad boy David.

Rather than work through her own emotional issues, Olivia was content to stifle her feelings, get drunk with her friends and bury herself in work. Except for her volunteer work at an animal shelter, Olivia is too self-absorbed and easily manipulated.

I was hoping Olivia would realize her potential and grow into a confident, self-sufficient woman who didn't rely on a man for her identity. Unfortunately, she didn't have the desire or integrity to act like an adult woman.

I wanted Olivia to leave Bill, not for the arrogant David, but for her future well being. David put on a good show of being romantic and caring, yet he was actually controlling, dominating and sometimes violent. Not a good catch!

Intense

Jessica Hawkins stories are soo good and this one is a must listen. The story of

Olivia and David will leave you wanting more. So many emotions.

Definitely recommend it!

Huh

I didn't understand Theresa for most of this book. In the first book she starts out attracted but not really interested because she is still in love with her x who cheated on her and she isn't over him. Eventually her sexual attraction lets her explore her sexual interest in Antonio and suddenly she is in love with him. She is so prim she can't stand and won't use cuss words. She thinks Antonio does t give himself enough credit. Next thing you know she is calling him filth and garbage and telling him to hurt her using foul language left and right. Falling in love with someone doesn't turn you into the opposite of what and who you are. It's very irritating and made me dislike this portion of the story.

better as a book

For some reason when my mind listened to this it wasn't as easy to understand what was going on. I often felt dumb, like wait, what?

THE DRAMA IS RISING... SO TOO IS MY BLOOD PRESSURE

More nerve-racking and action-packed drama as Antonio and Theresa's worlds continue to collide and spin out of control. But they're holding on tight to one another and will destroy anyone who threatens or stands in their way of them being together forever..... but unfortunately the tension and danger is rising and amplifying because, as much as they want to stay together, external and internal enemies are sharpening their blades, loading their weapons and making plans.

I just couldn't stop listening as the plot continues to crank up the suspense and danger - as well as Antonio and Theresa's deep love and passion for each other.... which results in some pretty hot sex scenes.

This time the story was dual POV and Brian Pallino's sexy and smooth Italian accent gave it authenticity and made this a bellissimo listen as he seamlessly flipped from American, female and Italian accents with ease. Mindy Kennedy did a great job too.

Worth a credit? For just one credit I got so much in return...... an exciting, unpredictable and emotional plot with action-packed drama, angst, steamy sex scenes and a very romantic and passionate love story. So YES, I'm one happy listener.

This book was unreal! I enjoyed every thrilling second. CD Reiss knows how to keep you on the edge and Mindy Kennedy did another stellar job of narrating, totally bringing Theresa and Antonio to life.
