ok to start...this is book two of the series...I actually didn't realize that until I went to search for additional books in this series...but don't worry if you didn't read the first book "Longing" you will not be lost.

From the intro when we are introduced to Iliana, a warrior of the fae doing everything in an attempt to protect her king...even following him to earth where she is badly injured and looses all memory you are sucked in. After we meet sexy ex-FBI agent turned rancher, John Luke Legacy, and his family of shifters...shifters that can shift into just about anything you know things are going to heat up! But as these two give into the intense desire for each other they must face revelations, an epidemic they must cure and solving the mystery of who all is behind it.

This book had it all...the fae, shifters and even cowboys (will sexy rancher men).

I enjoyed this paranormal romance! I find the whole idea of shapeshifters intriguing and even though paranormal isn't my usual genre, I really enjoyed this story. Fantastic narration!

a shapeshifters love story

It took a bit to get into the story. I kept wanting things to happen - but once they did I could just sit back and enjoy the book. Loved Johnny Macks voice as he lulls you into the story and takes you on an adventure. hmmm no spoilers...okay, there are times when someone has shifted, only to have to shift back into human form...naked of course. How embarrassing hahaha.

I really liked the story and am looking forward to the next book in the series. It did take a bit with the background stuff, but afterwards you can really see how it is/was necessary. Dont stop listening :) them be dragons ahead ;)

Another very entertaining and enjoyable series from Ciana Stone. I really enjoyed her Honky Tonk series and am now hooked on The Legacy series. There is just something about her stories that pull you right in.

There are a lot of characters and the story is ongoing so it took me a bit to figure out who was who.(not long).

Quick, fun listen

This is a fun, light read that will pull you in immediately. I loved the story and the quirky characters. I dont think its a start of a series, however, I would LOVE to hear more from and about these characters. This is the first book Ive listened to by this author, I have already downloaded 2 of her other books and cant wait to listen! I originally chose to listen to this book because of the narrator, Tracy Marks. Marks is one of my absolute favorite narrators and, as usual, her performance was outstanding!

Fun New Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance with Lesbian Twist

In "Jade" we meet the eponymous heroine, a super-powerful supernatural being who morphs between shifter, vampire, witch, and fae depending on the circumstances. She's currently serving as an agent in the local police force in Winston, as in Winston-Salem, NC, in a world in which supernatural beings are more or less out in the open, but are facing discrimination.

"Jade" combines a number of common urban-fantasy elements--e.g., vamps, shifters--with the twist of Jade's actual identity...which I can't reveal here for fear of spoilers! The story moves quickly and is very readable, with a fresh liveliness to the writing and a number of powerful female characters, always a plus. The only reason I'm giving it four stars rather than five is that I think it could have used a little more editing to clean up the comma splices and occasional typo I noticed as I was reading. However, it's still a very fun read and should serve fans of the urban fantasy/paranormal romance (with a lesbian twist!) well.

Great first in a series!

Bought this because the description and cover looked interesting. I didn't know it was going to get me started on a great new series. Lots of action and some twists and turns. I thought I knew what Jade was and then you find out she's not what you think but something better with an added twist. This is a great start to the series and left me wanting more.

Strong Start to a Supernatural Thriller Trilogy

Jade is the first in a trilogy of supernatural thrillers and a lot of fun to read. The titular heroine is called a "magical mutt" in the blurb, and for good reason -- she's part witch, part vampire, part faerie, and part shifter... and that just scratches the surface. There is even more to Jade than that, and I really hope future stories dive further into her backstory, which is only hinted at in the second half of this book.

But as much of a badass as Jade is -- and you all know my love for badass heroines -- she has a softness and a vulnerability to her that keeps her from feeling like she's too strong or too powerful. Her chemistry with Jane is clear from the instant they meet, and that chemistry is one of the reasons I'll be diving into the second book, Jane, very soon.

There are a few slight quibbles that kept me from giving Jade five stars; this book couldn't used one more pass-through in editing, and the pacing does dip on a few occasions.

excellent story! Loved it!

amazingly wonderful short story. It had great characters, an interesting plot, action, romance, humor.... my only regret was it was over too soon. I love this whole series but this one was one of my favorites.

Not complete by long shot.

This is the final book for the Reese Brothers. It ends with the baby brother Theo finding his equal. Theo it's the silence deadly one of the brothers. Always be like that, the baby is the crazy one or the most deadly. Theo's unofficial job is to protect the family. That is reason why he is trying really hard to get back the Benjamin file that Ginny, who we met in Tricked. Ginny knows how to play people however Theo has never been the person to fall for her Damsel in Distress Act.

Their relationship was funny to me. They had this cat and mouse game that was just a mess, in a good way. The two of them together are both naughty individuals. When you read their sexy time it was just funny but also sensual. You can tell that their life together will always be fun and never dull. The story had action from the very beginning and did not let up until the very end. For such a short book it sure did gave you a lot of action and drama.

I did not like the epilogue at all for this book. The way that it ended it made it seem as though something huge is going to happen however Uncle Benny, who everybody is afraid of, knows or has a feeling that something is coming. Also I feel like Uncle Benny should be getting a book since he's the final Reese that is still unmated. However I do know that the store or will be going back to the Kayrs family. I feel like the story or is not complete.

I'm giving this because I feel like this story arc order is uncomplete; not until Uncld Benny gets his book.

Although I have enjoyed the little tastes, the novellas have given, I am ready for a full length novel that checks in with the Rhelm. This was a sweet snack and was written in Zanetti ' s typical style I am ready for the next big test for the good guys in the Dark protectors series.

Sweet and hot!

The chemistry between Julia and Tristan is off the charts sweet and hot. The build up between them leaves you frustrated and begging for more and when they finally, FINALLY do the deed, you're left fanning yourself and reaching for a cold glass of water!

What a fun book!!!

I love Gena Showalter and she didn't disappoint in this book. I was a bit apprehensive reading such a 'normal' work by her. I fell in love with her through the Lords of the Underworld series and moved on to Atlantis and then the bad ass Alien Huntress series....so a genie type man magically appearing out of a box to seduce and fall in love with a 'normal' girl just didn't seem exciting enough for a Gena Showalter book. But what this book lacks in action it makes up for in humor. I don't know how many times I had to keep myself from laughing out loud while reading. I was reading this book in the middle of the night with a sleeping husband and baby that can wake up at a drop of feather. So while I knew that I needed to get my butt to sleep because tomorrow my little one year old wouldn't have any mercy on me....I also couldn't put this book down. You know that Tristan and Julia will eventually get together. You know that she will free Tristan from the curse that has haunted his existence for hundreds of years. But it's the getting there that makes this book so special. It's a blast reading how Julie tries to deny her attraction for Tristan...and how he circumvents her every effort.

This one is a gem and I totally recommend reading it. Its a fast paced, fun read!

Good, easy read.

Loved the story line and how she subtled tied this book to the stone prince and also to the Atlantis series. I also enjoyed that the book had a strong female lead and not just the typical damsel in distress waiting for some big, strong man to come rescue her. Even better, the strong female lead didn't let her strength keep her from truly falling in love or admitting she actually needed her lover. True love isn't ashamed to admit the need for their partner.

Slave refusing Love

Not bad

The story was pretty good although predictable at times. I would have enjoyed it more if it had been proofread to catch all the typos that autocorrect missed because the words are out of context when the author meant a similarly spelled word.

I love Linda Lael Millers vampire and fantasy books. They are a great escape from reality and this one is no different. I read it all in one afternoon/evening, instead of making dinner, haha

I really want to like this book....I mean who doesn't love wearwolves? This book was all over the place. The blur sounds good but the book just got on my nerves. I barley finished listening. Save your credit and listen to Mate Finder or Phoenix Pack series.

Just keeps getting better!

Alexander Collins has portrayed Thane's expressions so well, I enjoyed listening to his smooth voice. Kian Rhodes has continued on from Book 3 The Mating Game, The Omega Auction into this one. Starting The Omega Rescue with Thane and Haldrian's story, and still including all the characters we loved from the earlier books. I think the story is well written and full of humour, while tugging at your heartstrings. I can put wait for the next audiobook as I already have the e-books and so I know they keep getting better!

Great Series!

This was another great entertaining listen. I have loved all of Kian Rhodes books. I didn't want these books to end and I am now impatiently waiting for the next. The characters are great and I love the bond and friendship they all seem to have. Alexander Collins did a great job with narration.
