The date was September 12, 1952. A group of local boys saw what they described as a "shooting star" that fell to earth on the top of the hill adjacent to the playground. About the length of a football field away, they all saw an object that was glowing and hissing. Walking closer to check out the "star", they noted that it was about 10 feet around. A few feet away from this glowing object they saw two lights, much like the glow of flashlights, about 12 inches apart. One of the boys had a flashlight and when he turned it on the object a huge creature with a head that resembled the ace of spades, and clothing that, from the waist down, hung in great folds was seen. Newspapers sent special reporters to cover the story. Many investigators also came and took soil samples.

Decent overview

This is a decent overview on the subject of stone worship and the societies that embraced it. It calls on many experts in the field, and they are all interesting and entertaining people. It is a good solid introduction.

fell short

This book had potential but fell very short. The narration varied from being poor, unclear and distracting. The background music seemed inappropriate and frequently drowned out the narration to the point I could not hear it. I liked the concept of a collection of 2012 theories, but it was poorly organized and delivered.

MC is obnoxious

sorry was too melodramatic for my taste. nothing wrong with performance. I just wish I could deck the narrator. his performance was just that solid, really sold it.

Beautiful and special

This is a lovely piece of voice acting which I shall listen to again and again.

Tennyson's sombre poem is adapted into an intensely-felt monologue - intimate, painfully immediate, but suddenly irradiated by ecstatic love lyrics in Tennyson's finest vein. Joseph Millson gives the best possible account of this dark and painful work. Even writing about it makes me want to listen again at once.

Bathroom quality

I had to ask myself, did anyone edit this?, did audible even critique it? This was like hearing a ten year olds first attempt at a documentary. There was no real beginning, middle or ending. It may well be the worst collection stuffed into over 6 hours. (I only exposed myself to 2 hour before turning it off) I am thinking about asking for a refund.

Poor Quality

The information that is in this product may be very good, but the quality of the recording is very poor. It sounds as if it has been recorded from a live lecture and the hall acoustics are very poor, hence so is the recording. This makes it very difficult to hear and understand. Poor.
