The Bible Old School Style

King James Version: The Gospels is a seriously good book (or four books or a portion of the best selling book in the world). Obviously being a Christian this text in God-inspired and life changing, so it was great to hear it in auto book form. Being the King James Version the language is occasionally quite old English with a lot of words that are rarely used today but that adds the charm of this version of the Bible.

I have always loved the King James Version of the Bible but it is one of the hardest versions to read or listen to as the language is from many years ago. Other versions of the Bible are just as accurate to the original text but are far easier to understand but it does have a certain charm.

The narration was reasonably good, it would have been better if they could have got the author to read it but I guess he was busy looking after the universe. Seriously, it was quite good but it was a bit monotonous, which might grow a bit tiring if you were listening to large portions of the Bible in one sitting.

Obviously this is a must read book and it is always great to hear the word of God being read but I think there are better versions out there, although I do enjoy the old English language on occasions.
