This is an overview of the actual book âThe AutoImmune System.â Kind of like an abbreviated Cliff's Notes for the full non-fiction book. It provides a potential reader enough information regarding this workâs content to determine if we want to invest the extra money and time to actually buy and read the entire book. At .99 cents, this summary is a good value, which is one of the reasons I have personally found âInstareadâ to be a useful service.

Overcome Autoimmune Disorders

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this summary of "The Autoimmune Solution." The book is written for those with an autoimmune disorder or those who want to help someone they know with an autoimmune disorder. It discusses what causes these types of disorders and the best way that it can be treated through the "Myers Way". There are four steps in the "Myers Way" which include healing the gut, ridding the diet of foods that cause inflammation, reducing exposure to toxins, and healing infections and finding stress relief. I thought that Instaread did a great job summarizing this book. It really got me interested in reading the original book.

Understanding the issues and how to treat them

Very interesting topic

I found the topic of this Instaread summary very interesting. I also appreciated the learning how the immune system protects us and can be bolstered to help fight disease. The actual book was written by a doctor who also suffers from an autoimmune disorders and she wanted to help sufferers as well as enlighten those who around them. I do not have this disorder and I donât know anyone who does, so I would not need to buy the full book.

Learn more about this important person in the history of cancer treatment

With so few minutes in the day, who has time to read whole books? I sure don't, but with these book summaries, it gives me a chance to get a quick synopsis of the book, hitting the highlights. Regarding this book, The Death of Cancer, I was introduced to an important person responsible for the advancement of cancer treatment. Having lost my father to cancer when I was young, it was uplifting to read of someone so dedicated to the fight of this disease and for peoples right to live a longer life. I was also interesting how he exposes some doctors for being driven more by ego than the patients best interests. I have personally witnessed this happen multiple times, so its nice to see someone from the "inside" expose this unfortunate factor in modern medicine.

Regarding this specific summary, its probably one of my favorite formats and types of books to read summaries about. Summaries about more technical topics that require a lot of detail are hard to effectively and completely summarize, but at the end of this Instaread, I felt well informed of DeVita and his contribution to modern day cancer treatment without the urge to purchase the full book. I received a sample for my honest review.

Good, but not as good as Worth's others

Fewer stories, more personal opinion than in the rest of the Call the Midwife series. Interesting, necessary as a topic of discussion and Jennifer Worth has some good and thought-provoking insights, but the topic (death) is hard-going and I wasn't as keen to get through it as the other of her books. Still worth a listen but maybe start with some of her earlier books.

Another masterpiece by Jennifer. A skilled story writer. I feel after this book I know her personally.

Not like the other books

No. I understand that it's heavy material, but it's not an enjoyable read, and not like her other books.

Would you be willing to try another book from Jennifer Worth? Why or why not?

Her other books document hard lives that have sad moments, but there are lessons to learn and there are also happy moments to enjoy. There's also a narrative with the other books. These are snippets of people's lives with no uplifting moments. She preaches her own opinion a little too much. It's a book about death, which everyone, relatives of the dying included, experience differently. Most people want to remember a relative in their prime, not in their last few days if they look completely different. Worth disagrees with this view quite heavily, and it was at this point that I turned the audiobook off.

What three words best describe Barbara Flynns voice?

Very good, speaks quietly and is comfortable to listen to during the sad parts. However, this can get old fast, and it sounds quite depressing after an a hour or so.

Was In the Midst of Life worth the listening time?

No. I won't finish listening to it.

Okay

I like the recipe ideas and information provided in the book. Did NOT like that this author basically promoted her business as a MLM rep for young living. This was not the reason I wanted to read this book (to get a sale pitch at the end of it).

Get what you do (or don't...) pay for!

Not thrilled with any of the Scott Jenkins books on Essential Oils that I downloaded. There is a teensy bit of helpful information in each of them, but on the whole, I guess I'm going to have to break down and pay for one - just having trouble deciding which one? I carefully read all of the Customer questions and reviews (btw, I always start by reading the lowest reviews, to see what the "problems" are...), but since we're all looking for something slightly different from these books - though, of course, I want something that covers everything, and I know that that's going to take me laying down some cold, hard cash.

Hmmm...

This book was just ok. I can't really complain because it was free, but after reading it I am glad I didn't spend money on it. The editing and word use leave a lot to be desired, and while some of the blends recommended in the book sound interesting I'm not certain the ratios are correct. I am curious enough to try a few out, but I will proceed with caution and blend conservatively. Also, the last part of the book is just a Young Living sales pitch. Not a terrible effort, but not a great one either.

Very useful

There are several very useful recipes in this book. I am looking forward to trying them and deciding what works best for me and my family.

Helpful, especially for beginners.

This has a lot of really good advice, I found this very helpful, especially for anyone trying essential oils for the first time, this book is a great beginner.
