She experienced what is often called ambiguous grief, including the loss of identity, belonging, and community, and began her healing journey by learning to name her emotions. She applied the neuroscience principle “name it to tame it” as a way to calm her nervous system and create stability during uncertainty. Tracey teaches that unprocessed grief, stress, and loneliness live in the body and cannot be resolved through logic alone. Her four-step approach involves locating sensations in the body, naming them, allowing them, and releasing them through breath, movement, or sound. Through this process, she helps individuals restore emotional balance and regulate their nervous systems during times of transition.
