• As if Michael Bay and Grand Moff Tarkin ran a game and shut it down, Planetside closed its servers in a hail of meteors that banned players and broke the game.
• After a rough launch and terrible support/DLC plan, group monster hunting game Evolve seeks to right its wrongs by relaunching as a Free To Play game.
  • Still not as bad as Resident Evil Umbrella Corps/ORC
• Pokemon Go released on iOS and Android and immediately fell victim to what every MMO player is familiar with: broken servers! 
• Summer Games Done Quick 2016 happened last week. This SGDQ raised $1,298,279.44 for Doctors Without Borders.
• Precursor to Bioshock and classic game, System Shock is being remade by Nightdive Studios and funded on Kickstarter.
• Overgrown manchild, Markus “Notch” Persson throws a tantrum over change and pulls funding from anyone who uses Twitch over their new donation system.
• Undergrown ratchild Martin Shkreli confuses collecting rare cards with actually playing a game and decides to get into Magic: The Gathering.
• He then goes on to threaten bringing Kanye and Trump to MTG tournaments. 
• Also threatens to sue people for catching Pokemon.
