Infrastructure improvements are a key part of the plan, especially given the site's location off Highway 1. Collaborations with the Governor’s office and the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) are underway to explore enhancements to LA 1 and the 415 connector project, which could provide alternative routes and alleviate gridlock near the Mississippi River Bridge.
Johnson highlighted how infrastructure plays a critical role in attracting and retaining large-scale projects, noting that delays and traffic issues can drive companies to neighboring states like Texas. SNT Global’s commitment to the community is strong—they approached the Chamber without seeking incentives and were eager to invest and grow locally. The company, which also manufactures gun parts and supplies energy solutions for petrochemical plants, was unaware of Louisiana’s incentive programs, but now sees the state as a promising hub for future expansion.
