Get It Whacked! The Macclesfield Cricket Club Podcast

To say this individual has a long and rich history with Macclesfield Cricket club would be an understatement! A man of many roles, he’s been a 1st team stalwart, opening bowler, fluent batsmen, head of academy, coach and just about everything in-between. To say he has had an influence on many of the best young cricketers the club has produced is probably doing him a disservice. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Stewart Garnett

Episode 2 of The Macc report, featuring James Cross, Chris France, Andy Moores and Matt Cunningham, reviewing all of the weekends fixtures!

With the seasons now underway, each Tuesday we will be bringing you a bitesize podcast, running over the results from the weekend with captains and various players from the club, both deubtants and returnees to the podcast! This week we welcome 1st team captain, James Cross and 4th team captain, Matt Cunningham, together with 3rd team captain and host, Miles Horner. Enjoy

Today's guest lives and breathes Macclesfield Cricket Club. To say we wouldn't be where we are without him is an understatement! The chairman has arrived, and just in time to update us on the state of all things Macc CC before the resumption of the season! It's Mr. Simon Griffiths.

Today we welcome the one man I have been most nervous about interviewing! Widely regarded as one of the clubs most talented bowlers, he has gained a reputation around the Cheshire leagues for all manor of different reasons, some of which you'l hear about today! Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Craig Melrose!

Today's episode features a true Macclesfield Cricket Club legend. Known to most as ‘The General’ he is responsible for countless funny stories, sledges and drinking games! Instantly recognisable by his distinctive laugh, he delights in tormenting his prey, both by the fine arts of flight and guile, and his acid whit, no pun intended. He’s always happy to put the bunnies in the hutch, Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Stephen Whittingham.

Today's guest may not be known by some of our listeners by name, but you must have been living under a rock not to have heard his voice as the man behind the camera at Sanderstead Cricket Club, via his YouTube channel Sanderstead CCTV or countless viral videos on Facebook & Instagram. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Dan Allen.

Today's guest is one of our more recent additions to Macclesfield cricket club. A man of agriculture, he announced his arrival at Macc with a bang in his very first game. Often maligned and derided for his sleeping habits, he also has some unfinished business with another of our farming cricketers. It’s the minister of milk, the bully of beef, the captain of the cows, Mr. Tom Radley. Enjoy.

Today, we welcome yet another member of the Moores cricketing family dynasty. A former 2nd team captain, he is held in high regard for not only his sledging, but for his trademark shot, which he once famously ignored Khalid Sawas over and won a game for the 1st team with it anyway. He’s a part time cricketer and a full time sweeper, Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Andrew Moores. Enjoy.

Today's podcast features another first for Get it whacked! A brotherly podcast, direct from the weird hills of Derbyshire. Lots of excellent stories about their time in the Derbyshire & Cheshire Cricket League, together with their respective times at Kings as captain, and now finally at Macclesfield. Dan & Tom Isherwood, enjoy.
