Get Legal: How to Protect Your Business from Sharks and Defuse Bombs

Today's guest is Daniel Rizzi

Daniel went to the University of Toronto for Psychology and Philosophy. Then to Osgoode Hall for law school. He worked at one of Canada's largest law firms doing Tech and IP litigation. He saw no one was happy and decided to start his law practice. Six months later he met his co-founder Colin and now we work on We-Watch together. Currently runs his law practice where he works with early-stage tech startups and helps them get started, fundraise, and exit; He is the co-founder of We-Watch.

We focus on the legal aspects of business with Daniel. We covered various topics such as the role of lawyers in avoiding legal troubles, the use of contracts and agreements, joint ventures, intellectual property, and the benefits of incorporating.

Favourite quote: You know, there's rules to life and we're all running around and doing things. But the only people who actually know those rules are lawyers.
