Great Series by the Author of "Ramage"

When reading the Ramage series I came on this offering and had to have them. For folks who only know what TV provides on the origin of the buccaneers of the Caribbean, these books are a super enjoyable learning tool! Be sure to get them in order!

More reading about the Scottish "medical" Cole family

I have now read this book twice, couldn't put it down. The historical background during the American Civil War taught me more details of history that I had forgotten or not been interested in. Intertwined with the descendants of the Cole family were also the new understandings and developments in the field of medicine. This is a "must read".

Liebe diese Bücher von Noah Gordon. Eine Trilogie und man sollte sie alle lessen. Dieses ist der letzte Teil und spiel in der Gegenwart. Interessante Einblicke über das Amerikanische Gesundheitssystem und die Fortsetzung der Familien Geschichte. Man sollte unbedingt alle 3 Teile lesen. Sie warden sehen man kann nicht mehr aufhören.

Surprised how much I enjoyed this book

The many twists and turns, plus the obvious parallel timeline of this book maintains the listener's interest. It is easy listening, although how the female narrator depicts 2 of the characters as slightly vague (or read as 'drippy'!) isn't so appealing. It's not too hard a change to swallow if like me, you're normally a noir / thriller fan but fancy a change!

A beautiful novel; perfect performance

All is complete for this audible book. The story line, narration. I thoroughly enjoyed lustening to this book. Highly recommended.

Fabulously rich story-telling

Written in dual narrative, this is the story of a murder from two very different points of view. The first narrative tells how events led up the murder whilst the other describes how it continued to effect lives many years later. Warm, well written and flawless plot. Loved it.
