Easy to follow

I enjoyed the book very much. Numerology is fascinating . I did all the calculations and I feel for my personality, it was spot on. I wish it had been longer.

I'm a number five with a close 8 just right behind.

I've always identified myself as a number five. Now that numbers has personality trait to them has now made sense for me. I chose number at an early age because that was the day I was born, August--being the 8th month of the year, is also my favorite number. Second only to my number 5. Strong headed and committed is all about me but being stubborn is also in my characteristic.

Basics of numerology

This is a very short book but there is no "fluff". It details how to arrive at the various numbers associated with a name, birth date, etc. and what the numbers mean. It is definitely something I will refer back to time and again. Thank you for an easy to understand guide!

Stoicism is a school of Hellenistic philosophy. It primarily deals with personal ethics. It is worth noting that for the Stoics, the study of philosophy is not just something that you read or talk about as a pastime hobby. Rather, the Stoics consider philosophy as a way of life. It is something that you put into action. Stoicism seeks to transform negative emotions into positive ones. I've browsed thru several Stoicism books lately but none compares to the depth and clarity of contents as this one. I sure was enlightened on what Stoicism is all about by the details and information I learned from this book. Stoicism is a way of life that focuses on virtue and knowledge. Just amazing. Stoicism that is. And this book as well. Clearly defined and discussed what Stoicism truly is and isn't. Now I realize my perceptions on Stoicism has been biased and outdated. Thanks to this book, I am now more appreciative of Stoicism and have decided to have this way of life instead of the current one I'm having. Reading now on the works of Seneca, and other Stoics. While I can't say I got a deep dive into the matter, this book helped me gain an overall feeling for this ideology. Biblical historical defense of the Rapture

Does the Bible teach the rapture of the Believers? When will it happen? Will we have any warning? What is the truth? How can we know? Does it matter? What does the Bible teach?

This book carefully compares the four main eschatological views. Each view is briefly explained, and then the challenges to each and their responses are looked at in the light of the Scriptures.

Hinson and Hitchcock are pretibulational premillenialists. That means they believe the saved will be raptured before God judges the world for seven years then returns to reign for a thousand years. This book defends that position both Biblically and historically.

The vocabulary of the book is a little hard at first, but they do a good job of defining terms and words that we donât use every day, and at the end of the book, there is a very good glossary.

The authors conclude with the most important question of all. Are you ready to meet God be it by rapture or death? Do you know your sins are forgiven? Have you accepted Christ? Then they give a brief but clear Gospel presentation.

I really appreciated the kind balanced tone. The authors have firm well-defined beliefs and they vigorously defend them, but they donât demean or belittle those who disagree.

I received this as a free ARC from NetGalley and Harvest House Publishing. A positive review was not required and these are my honest opinions.

This Book is a must read for those believing in the Pretribulation viewpoint. This book will become your best source in supporting this view as found in the Bible. In the Appendix there is a summary of 50 arguments for Pretribulationism which will be very valuable in defending this view. By Dale Means, Dixie's husband.

Sensible

This book lays out how to walk in both worlds in such a simple and sensible way. I may pass it along to a fellow shaman friend or perhaps just suggest it to them, because I will probably read this one again. It offers great suggestions on how to navigate our new world and is totally down to earth on every page. I highly recommend the book. It is an easy read even if one is not on the shamanic path.

Read this amazing book!

The author has put together a guide that is GOLD! Katie masterfully shows the novice as well as the experienced practitioner, and all of us in between, a way to be as a human and a way to be of use to the world while being in proper alignment. The book is short but don't let the size fool you as it is packed with information. What I truly have enjoyed is every time I read it, more comes through from between the lines, sort of like a transmission from lineage or spirit. I have read quite a few books on Shamanism and have been a long time practitioner and most books I read and pass on. This book has remained in my possession since I purchased it and will continue to do so!

Interesting

I find a great openness in Haught's book. Certainty closes your mind in the archaeonomic (you have to read the book to understand the term) spiral from which you imprison yourself in the unawareness of what's coming to be. Anticipation is the mode opening your heart and mind to expect more and look forward toward hope and happiness. Step by step. Every day.

A must read for seekers

John Haught is a distinguished theologian who has spent his long career thinking through connections between our outer world revealed by science and the inner experiential world of religion, and has a seasoned grasp of the literature in both realms. Not just a philosophical argument, beautifully precise prose guides the reader through the veil separating the physical-and-objective from the subjective-and-spiritual. He points out that only recently have we determined that the cosmos is not âfixedâ but rather is a still evolving (awakening) narrative in which the evolutionary emergence of life and mind are major milestones. He draws attention to the unseen explosion in recent millennia of subjectively experienced, interior life, of which religion is the major expression (as well as literature, media, etc.). The main theme of the book is to redirect our seeking from the past into the future: we are submerged within an unfolding cosmic drama in which the unifying principles of meaning, goodness, beauty, and truth, what Haught summarizes as rightness, all lie in the âhorizonâ up ahead of us. Haughtâs is a spiral argument in which the general project is plainly manifest from the very beginning, and then, as you proceed through each chapter, your understanding effortlessly deepens; old concepts come alive, as faith is welded to patience and prayer to anticipation.

I can personally attest that this book presents liberal humanists like myself a passionate and beautifully reasoned invitation to deepening a secular commitment to progress toward unity and rightness into the religious sphere.
