Can love survive the bright lights of fame?
A popular DJ at the hottest station in Nashville, Charley Layton is doing what she's always wanted to do: living in the heart of country music. Charley puts her career first and relationships second, but when a charismatic stranger in a black cowboy hat invites her back to his place, she decides to give herself one night of no-strings fun.
But Dylan Monroe isn't a no-strings kind of guy. Charley is beautiful, brainy, and brassy as hell - the kind of girl he's always wanted. When his record label books him an interview on Charley's show, he's determined to find out why he woke up alone, and when he can see her again.
With Dylan now the most eligible bachelor in country music, Charley doubts their fling stands a chance, but she's willing to try. Dylan dreams of fame, but he also craves a life offstage with Charley. Can he convince her that both of their dreams are worth chasing, and that love is still possible, even in the spotlight?

Rising Star
Entertaining and Fabulous!
This was a delightfully fun love story of two really great people. Both Dillon and Charlie were strong characters who truly complemented each other. The story was engaging and the narrator was excellent!!! Loved it!!! Hope this becomes a series like ardent springs!!
Great characters and setting until....
This book and narration were great with terrific wit and such until the implausible miscommunication melodrama. This took away from a 5 star rating quite significantly. I could only this "Oh, come on!..Really?"
I was disappointed by the handling of that part. It was really good until....
Cowboys, Singing, & ................
Loved this book. You cant beat a Book about a Cowboy whether hes a rancher, hired hand, hes into rodeos, or a singer. Whatever role hes given, the Cowboy always wins. Cowboys are made from tough stock & hard work....... And when it comes to taking care of their familys & loving their women, they know how to do it Right!!!!!!!!!
Can you say Respect???
when a Cowboy gets his woman alone, he knows exactly how she likes to be loved & all the right places she likes to be touched. Cowboys make sure their women are satisfied first. Because they know if they have totally satisfied their woman, then theyll both be satisfied in the end. Cowboys arent left out either. Not only do they get to enjoy their womens entire body as for-play, but in return they also get some really great for-play. when a Cowboy makes love to you, he uses all those wonderful, tan, muscles to move in all the right places.
So, you better hold on tight to your saddles ladies, because this is one book you dont want to miss!!!!
Oh Brother....(Mild Spoilers)
Sorry, but the whole thing where Dylan "couldn't get in touch with Charley" is soooooo rediculous.
He had her work number, but kept calling her after her shift (and he knew it was after her shift).
And then he even went on social media to view one of his friend's pages (on the friend's phone) to see what Charley could see since she was his friend on his page...............so WHY didn't he just shoot Charley a message and say, "Hey, this Dylan, just using my buddy's account to let you know my phone was stolen and I don't have your number memorized.
