It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel lovely as I sit down with this week's very special guest Izzy Dunfore. We discuss the past, present, and future of his 20 year career in independent rap, address rumors from last weeks Get Local about a secret project with Professor Fresh, and dive deep into his work with producer extraordinaire Christopher Freemayne on the upcoming "The World Iz Dunfore 3: Lovely", scheduled to release later this year. Not only did Mr. Dunfore stick around for an outstanding 2 hour interview but he brought along THREE singles from the album, including a previously never before heard track simply titled "Sometimes", and he even previews a new mixtape track for an upcoming project.

Stick around to the end for our Loud & Local Showcase featuring music from Dead Larry, Open Minded, and Lifted Mindz!

This week I sit down with Mankato's own Professor Fresh, a Minnesota rap staple for nearly the past two decades. We discuss his thematic approach to putting together albums, his awe inspiring stage work, and the fever pitch at which he has been releasing projects the last two years. We hit everything from "The Gold Jacket EP" to "Blue Plaid", and even touch on his collaborative albums "Lost Dog" w/ BKnown, "Shotgun Vol. 1" w/ Hazrdos, and the upcoming "Full Belly Man" w/ Stratta G. It's always a good time when the Professor is in the house, so tune in and prepare to get live, get LOUD, Get Local, MN!

On this episode we sit down with Jess Seahorses, one of the founding minds behind The Galactic Get Down Music & Arts Festival to discuss the event coming up July 18th-20th @ The Outback Ranch in Houston, MN, and take a deep dive into her past. From her first Festi-Crew shift, to cultivating the first Seahorse Productions series Valhalla Music Festival, an epic chapter in Southwestern Minnesota's outdoor concert scene, to partnering up with Joe Scarpellino (Dead Larry/Smokin' Joe), and John Mehren (Vicarious Visions) to introduce the universe to an out-of-this-world event like you've never seen. Together they've brought together an incredible society of lost space cadets into a place where they truly belong and feel at home. It has been an honor to finally get to sit down with Jess, and we hope you enjoy the show. Stick around to the end for our Loud & Local Showcase featuring music from Reese Heartfelt, Izzy Dunfore, and Professor Fresh!
